Inspired by feedback from our member schools, the Southern Indiana Education Center is pleased to offer G Suite for Education professional learning in the form of The Google Academy. Administrators, Educators, and Staff can take the workshops in any order depending on their skill level, needs, and classroom goals. Please be sure to check out our other offerings in The Google Academy.
In the Google 101 level of The Google Academy, participants can expect to learn:
- Connecting the 4Cs: What are the 4Cs and how to integrate them into your classroom using G Suite for Education
- Google Chrome: Bookmarking, effective search methods, and the use of the Google Chrome Store
- Google Drive: Organization of Google Drive, uploading existing Microsoft documents, and sharing
- Gmail: How to set-up your inbox, create a signature, and basic settings
- Google Calendar: Set-up calendars, add events, and schedule appointments
- Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms: Basic functions of each app, collaboration in your classroom, how to leave and respond to comments
- Google Keep: Keep you and your students organized, note taking, and the use of Google Keep in assignments
- YouTube: Set-up of your channel, subscribing to others, and curating educational videos by creating playlists
