Win Prizes and Get Informed
On Thursday September 5th at 7pm we will have a Zoom parent seminar on the MAP assessment! This will be a chance for you to see how the results can be useful to you as a teacher at home. We will look at sample reports and show you how to look at the very specific information about where your child is performing academically that you can use to adjust your instruction as you see fit. It is a powerful and valuable tool for you as a teacher.
Remember MAP Testing is valuable for:
Great and Actionable Data for you as a teacher.
Norm Referenced Data for comparison to the larger population.
Showing the amazing education that homeschoolers get!
Helping FPCS to operate in good standing with the district and state.
Also, just for attending, you will be entered to win prizes including FPCS swag, gift certificates and even a brand-new iPad! That is right! By attending this event you will get one entry. Then, you will get additional entries for each test session that your child(ren) attend. The fall drawing will be held after testing.
Pre-register now for an additional entry ticket for our drawing! Pre-Register HERE.
if you don't want the additional ticket just click this LINK to join the Zoom.
We will also be offering a fun filled Laser Tag at the Dome Extravaganza party in the spring for any students that test in both the fall and the spring.
We want to help you gain valuable information for your teaching and have fun while we are doing it!

Attention Parents of K-3 Students
mCLASS testing for K-3rd grade will take place September 9th to the 12th on a drop-in basis. There is no need to sign up. NOTE: 3rd graders will complete both assessments and can do their mCLASS reading assessment after one of their MAP tests.
One of the skills tested on the upcoming mCLASS benchmark is Phonemic Awareness. This simply checks to see if your child can identify the sounds in spoken words. It isn't a skill always found in all reading programs so sometimes it confuses young readers. You can prepare your child for this skill check by having them tell you the sounds they hear in words. Example: cat= c/a/t/, splat= s/p/l/a/t, hide= h/ī/d, bridge= b/r/i/j. Have fun playing with words!
