Happy Weekend!

We've had a very busy week painting, planting, building, designing, and creating! Our Specialty Art Classes and STEAM Clubs are in full motion. Save the dates ~ Specialty Class Showcase will be April 10 at 6:00 and The ART Show and Family Dinner will be May 1.

Thank you to WFAA ~ all teachers will be treated to a specialty coffee on Monday morning from a coffee truck.

2nd grade had a fantastic STEAM learning experience with Rachel Vogt from the Columbus Museum on Tuesday. All 2nd graders participated in an introduction to bee cups by leanring all about the vital role bees play in our world. In March, they will get the chance to create their very own bee cups to add to our pollinator gardens on campus. Thank you to Rachel and the Columbus Museum!

5th grade parents ~ magnet offers for middle school were emailed yesterday. Please check your email and accept offer by next Friday, Feb. 14th.

Last day to turn in Candy Grams for Valentine's Day is Monday!

We have started our Attendance Recovery plan! Students with excessive absences will be contacted to stay after school and make up days missed at school. Please make sure all students are on time and at school every day!

Wynnton Flag Football for 4th and 5th grade girls will start soon! Look for tryout and practice information soon. The Flag Football Competition will be Friday, April 11.

Good luck to our amazing Honors Chorus students - Amiriyon Jones, Kayla Woodcock, Kristen Gardner, and Selena Alston as they perform February 22 at 5:00 at Northside High School. Thank you to Ms. Potter for preparing them!

Good luck to Science Olympic Team ~ Alison Thornton, Aubrey Watson, Bella Watson, Charisma Weldy, Delaney McNeil, Jayve Taylor, Karter Watson, Kayla Kemp, Lyla Thompson, Mason, Young, Olivia Kemp, Quincy Munoz-Chatmon, Skylar Snow, and Tyler Williams as they compete in various science tasks on Saturday, February 22nd at Hardaway High School. Thank you to Dr. Lester and Ms. Barton for preparing the team!

3-5 graders will be taking the Georgia Milestones in April and we want all to be prepared. Please click this link to find many GMAS Resources.

Please keep us in mind as you clean out closets - we will happily accept gently worn school uniforms to add to our loan closet. Thank you for always thinking of us - our closet is filling back up!

We also have some special STEAM projects starting and we need clean plastic milk jugs and shoe boxes - please turn in to Media Center.

Reminders:

• School starts at 7:45 - instruction begins right away
• Students may not bring cell phones or smart watches to school
• Only sneakers may be worn as we have dance, drama, PE, and recess - no boots or wheelie shoes
• Drop off outside the Wildwood gate in the morning - all visitors must come to the front doors
