Counselors' Corner
This past week in the counseling office, TRHS Counselors met with 241 students to provide academic support and planning, social emotional support, and help with post secondary planning.
Counselors began hosting Junior meetings with our Juniors. These meetings are designed to help students continue building their post secondary plan, whether that be college, the military, trade school, or going straight into the workforce. Counselors have many tools to help students match their talents, interests, and personalities to career and educational paths. Graduation progress and requirements will also be reviewed. Schedule a meeting with your Counselor now!
TRHS Career Exploration series continues!
This series provides students the chance to hear about careers in a broad variety of industries around our area. Every Tuesday we host a different career speaker who shares with us about their job, their career journey, the skills and interests needed, and much more. Click here to sign up!

IB Update
!!SENIORITIS!!
As we come into February, the IB Team has noticed the unfortunate, but predictable, rise in Senioritis in our class of 2025. While this is something we see every year, it is still something that we all want to try and combat to help our TRHS Seniors finish strong. Below are some suggestions to help all of our students complete their time at ThunderRidge as best as possible!
- Set Short-Term Goals: Break down tasks into smaller, manageable goals. Celebrate small victories, like completing a project or acing a quiz.
- Stay Organized: Use planners, to-do lists, or apps to keep track of deadlines and commitments. Staying on top of tasks can reduce procrastination.
- Find Motivation: Remind yourself of future goals, such as college, a career, or personal aspirations. Create a vision board or journal to visualize your dreams.
- Change Your Routine: Shake things up—study in a new spot, switch up your schedule, or try new study techniques to re-energize yourself.
- Reward Yourself: Give yourself incentives for finishing assignments or studying. Rewards could be as simple as a treat or some time for your favorite hobby. -Mr. Risner
