Wow...the end of September is almost here! This month has been flying by! Before you know it, we will have snow falling. Oops, did I say the "s" word! Well, hopefully we have several more weeks before we see snow.
We do have cooler weather coming though, so please make sure your child has a jacket and other appropriate outdoor wear for recess, walking to school, and any other reason that may spend time outside at.

Dear Lester Park Families,
We are asking all parents/guardians to fill out our school climate survey. Your input is extremely valuable to us and provides schools with a comprehensive understanding of how families perceive school climate. Visit bit.ly/FamilyClimateSurvey709 to fill out the survey. QR Code is below.
This information will be used to inform school and district plans to make improvements. The survey is anonymous and voluntary and you do not have to provide your name and have the option to select “Prefer not to answer” on all items including demographic information.
Our school district is also asking students in grades 3-12 to participate in a similar survey called the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) School Climate Survey. The elementary version consists of 11 items and the secondary version consists of 36 items.
Schools will be administering the survey beginning the week of October 1st.

The Backpack Program provides a supplemental supply of weekend food to children in need.
Students receive a 3-6 pound bag of food twice a month to carry home from school in their own backpack or book bag. Deliveries start September 18.
Availability varies but often includes shelf-stable entrees like soup or pasta, fruits and vegetables, cereal, snacks and more.

2024-25 PTA Lester Park Elementary Public Directory Online Form
This form is to voluntarily participate in a public family directory of Lester Park students and families, so students can contact their classmates and friends via telephone or email. We are not including physical addresses in the directory.
