As we wrap up another wonderful year, December brings opportunities to reflect, celebrate, and prepare for the new year. We are grateful for your continued support and involvement at Torrey Hill. Whether it’s attending events, volunteering, or simply cheering on your child, your partnership means the world to us.

With the varying temperatures, please be sure your child is dressing in layers. Our outside recess matrix is below:

Feels like 60 degrees or higher: No coat required-short sleeves ok without coat.

Feels like 40-60 degrees-Coat or heavy sweatshirt required, preferably long pants.

Feels like below 40 degrees- Coat needed, long pants and preferably hats and gloves as well.

Snow-Snow clothing needed (snow pants, boots, hats, mittens/gloves, coat).

If you are in need of any cold weather gear for your child, reach out to the Torrey Hill office.

The Tuesday Treat trolley is making its way around Torrey Hill once Tuesday per month. Thank you to the Slaughter Family for sponsoring this month's Treat Trolley! If you or a business are interested in sponsoring the Treat Trolley in the future, please contact Torrey Hill.

Breakfast will be served M,T,TH & Fri from 8:00am-8:20 and Wed. 8:50-9:20 in our school cafeteria.

We are still accepting FREE and REDUCED applications for the 2024-2025 school year.

Completing this form allows us to continue to support our family's needs now and in the future. If you have qualified for free and reduced lunch in the past, applications must be submitted yearly.

We will be using Car Tags again this year for our pick up lane students. Many of you are familiar with these tags if you participated in the West Shore process in the past. You will only need ONE tag per building if participating in both lanes. To obtain your tag please stop in the office. If you still have a sign from last year or West Shore they are the same, please use it this year.

If your students need updates from you (parents/guardians) on taking a different mode of transportation home, please call our office before 2 PM. We do our best to get all "change in transportation" messages delivered to the students at the end of the school day and we certainly do not want any errors.

Any bus changes must be approved by the principal at least 24 hours in advance. Students are not allowed to take alternative buses home unless their is an emergency situation. Please do not use bus transportation as a means of transporting friends for after school social or extracurricular events. Our buses have capacity limits and we cannot add students to bus routes. We care about the safety of our students and therefore must closely monitor ridership on our school buses.

We realize the morning and afternoon can be busy times in our parking lots at West Shore and Torrey Hill. Please help with traffic concerns by avoiding crossing over the incoming lane (AM) and outgoing lane (PM) at West Shore (Lahring entrance).

Also, if you enter Torrey Hill from Torrey Rd., please remember you can only turn right at the flagpole. Some are turning left where the sign, "No Left Turn", is located. Thank you for your support.
