PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Pleasant Run Families:
Overall we have had an amazing week of learning. At Pleasant Run we are committed to providing every student with a first class education. This education is possible because of our focus on creating a safe learning environment, teaching a rigorous curriculum, and building meaningful relationships between students and teachers. These commitments provide an atmosphere that is perfect for maximizing your student’s greatest potential. The staff at Pleasant Run commit endless hours to developing classroom experiences needed for your student to be successful now, in high school, college, work, and life. The foundation of these commitments stems from three big ideas our staff embraces to ensure your student’s success at Pleasant Run:
· Learning is the fundamental purpose of our school and therefore we are willing to continually evaluate daily practices to better impact your students learning.
· We are committed to working together to help achieve our collective purpose. As a result, we will cultivate a positive, collaborative culture to ensure high performing student success.
· Our success is based on results rather than intentions. We will use relevant data to ensure your student’s education is continually improving.
We know a student’s elementary years can be a life-changing experience and that is why it is imperative that all adults be actively involved to ensure their success. The partnership between the school and the home is a crucial component. Our successes depend on a successful partnership between students, staff, families, and community. We place a high value on parent involvement, parent and teacher collaboration, and open communication by all parties. Committing to these processes helps ensure the greatest success for your student throughout the year.
As you prepare to navigate the 2019-2020 school year, we challenge our parents to push your students towards developing a greater sense of responsibility, a commitment to excellence, and the grit needed to be successful in the learning process. These commitments will help your student better prepare for academic excellence and learning! I believe that Pleasant Run is the best place to learn, and we hope your 2019-2020 school year is outstanding!
As always, I appreciate your support.
