Spotlight Student
Skylynn was last week's spotlight student. Skylynn has done a great job in putting forth great effort each day! She has done an excellent job in modeling great classroom behaviors! Throughout the week, we learned that Skylynn loves to spend time playing outside during recess. She also enjoys playing outside with her friends at home. Skylynn enjoys coloring too!
Inside the Classroom:
Math
Students are off to a great start on mastering fractions! Students have been working to understand how to distinguish the unit fractions when given a shape that is partitioned into different parts. We are working to form fractions that represent both the shaded and unshaded parts of a whole shape.
Language Arts
We will be moving onto another expository/informational unit. Students will focus on the essential question: How do animals adapt to challenges in their habitats? Students will read and write about things that help animals survive as well as ways animals are the same and different.
