News from Nurse Lisa
Dear Families,
Please remember 6/13/24 is a half day of school (11:25 Dismissal) and this will be our Family BBQ and field day. Please apply any sunscreen and/or bug spray in the morning before school. Children are to bring a change of clothes and a towel if they plan on getting wet.
Also, if your child has an emergency medication at school (epi-pen, inhaler, etc.) please visit the health office for retrieval of the medication. It is important that the emergency medications be returned by the last day of school.
Thank you and have a great summer!!
School Garden is Still Looking for a Few Volunteers
Dear Families,
This spring students at TVES have prepared the school garden and our vegetables are beginning to grow. This year we have 8 raised beds, some refurbished, all planted with a variety of pumpkins.
This summer we hope to get a group of volunteers to each come to school one time and check on the garden. This work will include pulling any weeds and watering.
Also, when you visit the school garden this summer, we hope you will enjoy our brand new perennial beds. In honor of a former teacher, Susan Sweeney, we established two new raised beds that we will fill with flowers over a period of time.
Please fill out the response form being sent home and return to your child’s teacher before the end of school. We are out 10 weeks for summer vacation. Our goal is to have at least one volunteer per class to help out during that time.
Thank you! We appreciate your time and effort making our garden the best it can be.
