Unfortunately, this week Rebecca Clarke has been away sick . We wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back at school next week.
Sacrament of Confirmation Workshop
On Wednesday evening, our Year 6 students along with their parents, attended the Confirmation Workshop run by 24:7 Ministry. It was great to see so many parents supporting their children. The workshop provided a wonderful opportunity for our parish community to come together and deepen their understanding of the sacrament.
Mother's Day Breakfast and Raffle
A big thank you to our P&F for their hard work in organising the Mother’s Day breakfast, coffee van, and amazing raffle prizes. Your dedication made this event possible and was greatly appreciated.
I also want to express my gratitude to all our staff for their support in encouraging students to celebrate their mothers and mother figures. They have all been very busy this week preparing for the big day. Your efforts in nurturing these special bonds are greatly appreciated.
Pre Primary Mother's Day Assembly
Today we were entertained by our adorable Pre Primary class who sang us their Mother's Day song and told us ALL the reasons they love their mummies. Congratulations and well done to Miss Edwards, Mrs Tie and Mrs Kovacevich for all of their hard work; the Pre Primary assembly was truly entertaining.
Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday to all of our amazing mums and mum figures, in our school community. Your unconditional love, endless sacrifices, and unwavering support light up the lives of your children. Thank you for your patience, care, and the countless hugs and kisses that make every day brighter for your children. May your day be filled with love, pampering and some time to recharge your batteries. Have a wonderful day on Sunday!
Swimming Carnival - Medal Presentation
Congratulations to Maddison, Aoife (Year 5), and Hudson (Year 6) for receiving their medals for Champion Girl and Champion Boy today. We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work and achievements in the pool. Well done!
Walk Safely to School Day
Another big congratulations and thank you to our P&F and Celeste Spencer who has worked behind the scenes and organised another successful, Walk Safely to School Day! Thank you to Councillor Jordan Wright for attending and handing out stickers to our children. Students and families arrived at school to a warm welcome in the library and were treated to fruit, pancakes and a Milo. It was fantastic way to start our Friday.

We have been incredibly busy and working hard in Year 4 this term. Enjoy a little snapshot. This week, we continue to explore equivalent fractions and work on our critical reading and persuasive writing responses. We have been enjoying painting abstract landscape pieces and digging deeper into the lives of convicts on the First Fleet.
Premier's Reading Challenge 2024
The Premier's Reading Challenge runs from the 6th of May to 6th of September. You need to try to read as many books as you can in this time.
It's a competition right across the state and there's some great prizes - including a Nintendo Switch.
So, everyone get on board with the Premier's Reading Challenge for 2024, Get to your books and read away!
Bookmark reading records will be coming home in library bags for children in PP to Year 6 to record all your books read through the challenge!

P & F Mother's Day Thank you
The P&F would love to thank each and every one who turned up to our Mother's Day Morning Treat and wish all our Mother's and Mother figures a wonderful Mothers Day this Sunday.
Special mention to our wonderful mums in the community who donated to our Mothers Day raffle. Kelly Wilson, Melissa Urquhart and Ashlie Shilton.
Thank you to our local member of Parliament Margaret Quirke for sponsoring the cost of the delicious cinnamon scrolls from Cinnayum they were enjoyed by all.

P & F New Playground Concept
The P&F Committee have been busy fundraising and creating a new Playground Concept Design with the help of Van Ryt Industries. The first component of the playground is planned is currently under construction and will add a whole new meaning to outdoor plan. The whole design is available below for you to look at. Enjoy!
Better Health Program focuses on healthy eating, physical activity, sleep and screen time for children in their primary years. Children receive free resources and families are support by a dietician/nutritionist each week. Resources are designed by our Better Health Company qualified health professionals, and include recipe books, water bottles, sports equipment and more!
Containers for Change
This year the Year 6 students are raising money through the Containers for Change initiative to donate to LifeLink. If you and your family have spare cans or bottles that you would like to contribute to our school collection, please scan this barcode when you are returning your containers, every container counts!
