Every Moment Matters.....
As we continue with the rest of the school year, we want to stress the importance of our Blue Jays coming to school. Please note that if there are students with excessive absences and/or tardies, we will begin meeting with parents/families to discuss how we can make improvements and how I can help. Our first goal at BES is to ensure that our boys and girls receive the best quality education that there is to receive. This happens when the students are at school on time and ready to learn.
If there is a reason as to why your child(ren) will need to miss, please make sure you are communicating with the teacher. When your child(ren) is absent, please make sure to send in a doctor's excuse or a parent note. It is important to pay close attention to the Attendance Guidance in the ECSD Student and Parent Handbook.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
Thinking Win-Win embraces an attitude that continually seeks mutual benefit in our interactions with others. It is choosing to believe that there is plenty for everybody and that other people’s success doesn’t come at a cost to us. Habit 4 aligns with the principles of mutual benefit, fairness, and abundance.
Reflect on how you can model Habit 4 in your role with these reflection prompts:
• Think about how you feel when others close to you succeed at something you want to succeed at. What can you do to model an Abundance Mentality?
• Consider a situation that could benefit from Win-Win thinking on your campus. Use a T-Chart to identify other people’s wins as well as your own.
• Try crafting a Win-Win Agreement with your action team to increase the effectiveness of your meeting structures and systems.
