April Edition

Greetings Wolf Branch Families!

With the recent surge in temperatures, more and more students are either walking or riding their bikes to school. That being said, please be vigilant when dropping your child off, and pay attention to all traffic signs and signals and reduce your speed in the school zone.

I would also like to remind anyone dropping off and/or picking up students of a few safety tips. If utilizing Parking Lot B, please park and walk up or drive through curbside. If choosing the curbside option, please do not park and get out of your car.

Registration for the 2023-2024 is just around the corner. You may register your child beginning May 1st using TeacherEase. All fees for the 2022-2023 school year must be paid in full to begin the registration process. If you know of any families with students entering PreK or Kindergarten please spread the word!

With summer just around the corner many families have inquired about learning opportunities this summer. I am attaching a few links throughout this newsletter for summer opportunities, both structured and unstructured. I will continue to add more as I learn of additional resources.

APRIL LUNCH MENU

Young Authors' Winners

Congratulations to all of our Young Authors' Winners. Students in grades K-8 all have an opportunity to submit an essay to be considered for the Young Authors' competition. The school winners gathered for an evening of fun on March 15th.

WOLF BRANCH SUMMER BASIC

Summer BASIC is an opportunity for Wolf Branch students to interact with their peers in a camp-like atmosphere. Each week will be centered around specific themes, and the days will be filled with both structured and unstructured opportunities.

SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY CAMPS

While there are many different opportunities embedded within this link, many of our students have found great success with the summer reading programs offered at SLU. Age ranges for each camp are listed, but most camps allow for grades K-12.

Washington University Camps

These camps are centered around STEM, Technology, and the Arts. Students ages 6-12 can attend most of them.

Look Who Stopped By!

I'd like to give a special shout out to Mr. Birk, who seized an opportunity for a special grant from the St. Louis Blues. As part of the grant, the Wolf Branch P.E. department benefitted from some new hockey equipment, a week of instruction for our students from the St. Louis Blues organization, and a special visit from someone special-Louie!

Mrs. Partney's Final Performances

Congratulations to Mrs. Partney, who will be wrapping up a phenomenal career at Wolf Branch in May. The month of March brought final performances for grades K-3. Each performance was well attended, and the students did a fantastic job! Thank you, Mrs. Partney for your dedication to our students throughout the years!
