Canvas is our district's Learning Management System. At Woodridge Forest, we utilize Canvas to support instruction. Scroll to find out how to setup an account, so you are able to observe your student's academic progress.

How to Get a Pairing Code

The student is responsible for getting a pairing code for the observer to use.

Teachers and staff cannot create a pairing code for you.

Please see the directions for students below on how to access a pairing code.

Click Account, then Settings

How to Create a Canvas Parent Account on Computer

You MUST be at https://newcaneyisd.instructure.com to use your pairing code.

If you go to https://canvas.instructure.com, your pairing code will NOT work

and you will get an "invalid code" error.

Go to Canvas Page

Click Here for the Canvas Portal

Choose "Parents Sign Up"

Create Account Using Pairing Code from Student

You will use the pairing code from your student here. The code is case sensitive.
