As the holiday season comes into full swing, I hope that all have a wonderful break next week. Rest up, recharge and enjoy the time off with family. I hope that all those who celebrate Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanza, etc. all take time to reflect and enjoy the company of loved ones.

Happy Holidays!
This week, we completed parts of a chemical reaction, balancing chemical equations and rates of a chemical reaction. Students should be able to explain how surface area, temperature, reactant concentration and volume of reactants affect the rate of a chemical reaction. Homework was due on Wednesday.
First week of January, we will review factors that affect the rate of a chemical reaction. Students will perform an experiment to demonstrate the effect of the above factors on reaction rate. For this experiment, students will need to bring Alka seltzer tablets from home. No homework for this week.
Mr. Turchetta - English/Language Arts
Hello everyone!
This week, students worked on RCT 3 that had students read an article and then write a response that explained how the author revealed information on different topics in it.
Next week, when we return from Winter Break, we will begin reading 145th Street by Walter Dean Myers. If students do not have a copy yet and are able to, please get a copy over winter break and bring it to school on that Thursday.
Have a great weekend and happy holidays!
