Wildcat Chat Thanksgiving Edition

Dear Willard Families,

As we begin our Thanksgiving Break, I wanted to thank the Willard community for the warm welcome. Students, families, and staff have received me with open arms, and I am so grateful to lead a school with such a supportive community. As I begin my principalship, I am focusing on listening and learning. I had the opportunity to meet with our fantastic Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and I am also scheduling listening sessions with our students and staff. I am working with the PTA on scheduling an event for parents and guardians in the new year so that I may meet you and learn how I might best support your Wildcat.

There is a lot to celebrate at Willard. My administrative team and I are grateful to our Health & P.E. Department for organizing this year’s WMS Turkey Trot. Our scholars and staff had a wonderful time walking and running in this 5K yesterday, and we are elated about all of the canned goods that our community donated. This is a wonderful tradition at our school, and it keeps getting better and better each year.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children every day. They are amazing in so many ways, and they bring such joy to our lives. We wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving and look forward to seeing our Wildcats next week.
