Principal Update
Happy Friday! We had a great week with our students showing lots of school spirit during the different themes for our annual Spirit Week!
We also had our "Move and Groove" Arts for Learning Fundraiser on Wednesday. This was our first return to the "jog-a-thon" format since 2019! Students and staff had a blast! (You can check-out photos below.) Families can still donate through the end of the day on April 15. This is a great way to support the artists-in-residence that bring arts and activities to our school each year. Thanks to those of you that have already made contributions!
At today's Morning Meeting, we had "Dillon" and another representative from the Portland Pickles Baseball Team came to promote the Pickles Reading Challenge, which will encourage reading and provide weekly incentives with a month long goal toward earning a FREE ticket to a Pickles game this summer. It was a very exciting way to start the day.
Finally, I'd like to highlight the reminder below about creating a ParentVue account. This is a not only a great way to stay informed about your child and access important information, but it also ensures we have accurate information regarding our school's enrollment and, as we are navigating some challenging enrollment situations, it is vital to have accurate accounting of our school population. Please be sure to create and account and keep it updated.
Have a great weekend!
With Woodstock Pride,
Seth Johnson, Principal
