Dear Ryan Families,
We are only one week away until this school year is over, can you believe it? I wanted to send one more communication out with some reminders for this last week of events and preparation for next year.
Thank you again to all of our families for your continued support and communication throughout the year. We could not do this without you and appreciate your willingness to work together to give our students the best education and experience possible.

Gifted Program Update
We know this is a big shift at the end of the year, but out team has responded well and we are putting a plan into place that we believe will positively impact our students and their education. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mr. Durham.

Bus Registration Reminder
Families eligible for busing can register for the 2024-25 school year starting May 6, 2024.
ALL students riding the bus MUST be registered each year.
The process is about the same as this past year, but there will be extra communication. Not only will parent portals have a date & time stamp of when they submitted their request, they will also receive email confirmations acknowledging their submission, approval &/or denial including the reason for denial.
All 2024-25 routes will be completed with eligible students assigned to a bus by July 5, 2024. Bus route details will be updated in their Infinite Campus accounts. Parents are advised to check there for their student's specific bus details after July 8, 2024 if they receive an approval email.
Attached are the 2024-25 Transportation Registration instructions in both English & Spanish, instructions for how to read student bus assignment detail in Infinite Campus for both parents and CUSD staff, and a Transportation Registration FAQ sheet which will also be on our website Transportation FAQ. (The website is a work in progress, but the pertinent items are there.)
Royal Rewards Donations
Our Royal Rewards program has been going great this year and the kids have been showing the 3 R's all over campus. We will still have our end of the quarter winners at our assembly but we have also been collecting all of the tickets for the entire year and hope to do some extra raffles. If you would like to dontate to the prize pool please feel free to drop something off! This could be something as small as candy bars and toys to electronics or gift cards. Thank you in advance for any donation!
Operation Back To School
Our school will be supporting CUSD's back to school event by collecting glue sticks, packs of colored pencils, packs of markers (10 pack of markers), large pink erasers, pencils and backpacks. If you would like to help support our community and the event please drop off your items in our front office! Please check out the event flyer below that we are collecting items for.
Kinder Celebration
Kindergarten families, please join us on May 22nd as we celebrate our Kindergarteners on completing their first year of school. We will be recognizing each student, take their picture for you, and will have cookies and lemonade to celebrate. The event starts at 1:30pm and the flyer is attached for more information.
6th Grade Clap Out
Our 6th Grade Clap Out is scheduled for Thursday, May 23rd from 10:50 a.m. - 11:05 a.m. We hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone for our students.
Please see the attached flier for all the details. We kindly ask for you to join the Clap Out keeping in mind the area reserved for parents (see map on page 2).
Book Purchase
Dear Parents:
This letter is to inform you that we will be purchasing new books/materials for our library on May 23rd, 2024. State law mandates that schools notify parents of the opening and closing public review period within seven (7) school days prior to the opening date. Therefore, this notice dated May 16, 2024, provides the opening date of the public review period for newly purchased library books/materials as May 23, 2024 and the closing date as May 23, 2024.
