EEI Weekly Parent Update

Colder weather is here, and our lost and found is already overflowing. Please remember to write your child's name in their clothing. We have a lot coming up this month, including Interim ATLAS Writing, Chess Tournaments, the first Quarter Reward, and Red Ribbon Week.

October

National School Bus Safety Week is October 21-25, 2024. The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is urging drivers to slow down and be aware of school buses and school zones in their communities.

Please try to avoid appointments on these days if possible

October 23: 3rd-5th Grade Writing

November 6-8: 3rd-5th Reading, Math, and Science

Our 1st Quarter Reward is October 24th! Make sure to review the requirements with your student.

1. If your child has a Health condition that requires accommodations (food, bathroom, activity) please provide a doctor's note with those accommodations so we can put those accommodations into place. Our goal is to keep students healthy and safe while at school.
2. All medications must be dropped off and picked up by an adult. Students are not able to carry any medication on their person while at school. Prescriptions must have the student's name and directions on the bottle/box. Consent forms need to be completed before mediation can be given.
3. Please check and make sure your child's immunizations are up to date. The Yellow Jacket Clinic can give those while your student is at school. Please call 870-484-4411 to schedule an appointment. If you have any questions on if your student is up to date, I can help.
4. Please keep your child home if they have a fever of 100 or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or develop an unknown rash. Students must be symptom-free for 24 hours without medication
