Summer Mail-Out
Parents,
You should have received a letter in the mail this week from the Lubbock-Cooper High School Administration. Just in case it does not reach you, we have included a digital link below.
*The letter states that a link for the Online Registration was emailed on Wednesday, July 17th. The Online Registration will need to be completed in order to receive a schedule on schedule pick-up day. All enrolled students need to have this completed - even if you are a new to LCHS. See below for information about dates and times for schedule pick-up.

Online Enrollment Verification
An email was sent on Wednesday, July 17th regarding online verification. The online verification MUST be completed in order for your student to receive their schedule during schedule pick up dates. All enrolled students need to have this completed - even if you are a new to LCHS.
Schedule Pick Up Information
This year's schedule pick up will be the last week of July. Students will get their yearbook picture taken (for senior cap and gown pictures see below), pick up their schedule, pay high school class dues, and pay for a parking sticker (if needed). High school class dues are $10.00 for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Seniors do not pay class dues. All class dues go toward paying for Prom during your student's junior and senior years.
Schedule pick up schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, July 30th - Fish Day
Freshmen
9:30-12:00
PAC
This will be for Freshmen students only, parents are encouraged to drop students off at 9:30 and pick up at 12:00. Freshman students will enter and exit the south doors of the PAC (see map below).
Students will stay on campus from 9:30-12:00
Students will be introduced to campus administrators and counselors, take yearbook pictures, pick up their schedule and school issued iPads, pay high school class dues ($10), tour the building to find their classes, visit the organizational fair, and finish up in the PAC for closing remarks from Mr. Winton.
Students participating in athletics and band that are going through workouts on July 30th, your coaches will provide time to attend Fish Day.

Seniors
1:00-3:00
Park in the faculty parking lot in the back (see map below).
Enter through CTE Hallway - Northwest side
This is a come and go event. You do not have to be here the entire time.
No Class Dues.
Juniors and Seniors
3:00-5:00
Park in the faculty parking lot in the back (see map below).
Enter through CTE Hallway - Northwest side
This is a come and go event. You do not have to be here the entire time.
Juniors will pay $10.00 in class dues.
Thursday, August 1st
Sophomores
1:00-3:00
Park in the faculty parking lot in the back (see map below).

Parking spots are $50 for an assigned spot. Seniors will be able to paint their spot for an additional fee.
Dress Code for Schedule Pick-Up
All students will need to have their picture taken at schedule pick-up. The picture will be used to create Student IDs and will be attached to their profile in our digital data system.
In order to have a picture taken and receive a class schedule, students will need to be in dress code from the chest up on their schedule pick-up day.
As stated in the district dress code policy, please make sure your student adheres to these guidelines when he/she comes to pick-up his/her schedule:
- Hair is neatly kept and out of the student's face
- Hair is of a natural color
- Students may have facial hair, but must be well groomed
- All students can have ear piercings and/or a single nostril piercing
- Shoulder straps must be at least three inches in width
- Shirts cannot depict pictures, emblems, or writings that are lewd, offensive, vulgar, or obscene
- Shirts cannot advertise tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or any other substances prohibited under policy FNCF

Parking at LCHS
On schedule pick-up day students will also have the opportunity to purchase a reserved parking spot. ALL LICENSED driving students will need a parking sticker.
Parking sticker purchases will require:
- driver’s license number
- license plate number
- make and model of the vehicle
- you must purchase your parking sticker in-person, do not send a friend to purchase a sticker for you
The cost to purchase a regular parking space is $50 for an assigned numbered spot and a limited number of spots in a discount lot will also be available for $25. You will need either check or cash. We will not be able to process debit or credit cards.
Seniors who want to paint their parking space must have their drawing approved by a principal and signed permission slip from their parents (see permission slip and paint form link below). The total cost to paint a parking spot is $75, this includes the price of the parking spot and cost of having the spot repainted at the end of the year. Paint days for seniors will be Thursday and Friday, August 8th and 9th (these are the days we can guarantee the parking lot will be free of other vehicles).
Parking sticker purchase and painting are Non-Refundable.

What if I can't make it to schedule pick-up or FISH Day?
If you are unable to pick-up your schedule on the dates we have designated, schedules will be available to view in Skyward late afternoon of Tuesday, August 6th. If at all possible, please make every effort to attend schedule pick up days in order to take your yearbook picture, buy a parking pass, and speak to counselors about possible schedule changes.
Off-Campus Physical Education
If you are applying for OCPE please read through the important guidelines here, then click here to access the Off-Campus Physical Education (OCPE) application form.
Parents must complete the online student form which will be sent to the District OCPE Coordinator. All applications must be completed online. No paper copies will be accepted. The application deadline is two weeks before the first day of instruction (July 31st) for the 2024-25 school year. Deadlines will be strictly enforced.
The District OCPE Coordinator will work with the approved facility for necessary documentation, then submit the application for approval to LCISD Director of Administrative & Community Services Edna Parr. When the application is approved, the parent and counselor will be notified via email.

Senior Class T-Shirt Order
Here is the link to order your Senior a class shirt. These shirts are typically worn on the first day of school. The ordering window closes on July 22nd and shirts will be available to be picked up at schedule pick up on Wednesday, July 31st.

Summer Bridge Program
In partnership with TRIO programs, Texas Tech’s Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Initiatives is launching a First-Year Summer Bridge Program from July 28th-31st, 2024. This program is not just about transitioning new incoming first-year students to Texas Tech but also about offering them a fun and interactive experience that will prepare them for college life.
