We shared all of our important information in our special edition on Wednesday, but we have had such a fun week here at Patton we just had to share! We had an incredible and jam packed assembly today to celebrate the end of Trimester 2 and all that we had accomplished! It ended with an epic Rock, Paper, Scissors battle between 2 first grade classes and a photo slideshow which is always a favorite for the students!

We thought this would be a fun Patton Post highlighting the fun we had this week! I hope you enjoy celebrating with us!

ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS MARCH MADNESS!

To tie in with the current "March Madness" Spring vibe, our Student Council thought it would be fun to organize a school-wide Rock, Paper, Scissors bracket to have some light competition before Spring Break! Classes competed against each other all week and our final EPIC battle was held this morning during our Trimester 2 Assembly! It was a battle of the ages between 2 FIRST grade classes! Mrs. Litberg and Mrs. Copersmet's classes competed like champs and Mrs. Copersmet's class took the title at the very end! It was a fun end to the week and everyone was a great sport!

MULTICULTURAL NIGHT!

Our first ever Patton Multicultural Night was a HUGE success!!! We had dancers, musicians, games, arts and crafts and even a spot of cricket! I want to extend an enormous THANK YOU to all the families that hosted a table and shared their different traditions, heritage, cultures and snacks with us! It was so amazing to see so many wonderful, colorful displays and to enjoy some delicious food from around the world! It was also fun to hear students sharing and presenting about their cultures.

The event was better than we could ever have imagined and we are so grateful to Liz Gabianelli, our amazing Multi Language Learner teacher, and the many other staff members that helped bring this event to life in such a spectacular way!
We can't wait to do it all again next year!!

THERAPY DOGS VISIT!

On Thursday we had an extra special visit from a couple of adorable therapy dogs! Comet and Pumpkin were very good dogs as they visited each classroom and enjoyed many, many hands petting, tickling, hugging, and giving ear scratches!! This was our reward for PTAs "Pack the Piggy" back in the fall and it was a delightful way to spend the morning!

Huge thanks to Meribeth Cassidy and her son Dylan for sharing their wonderful pups with us and also to Paws the Panther for keeping the students that did not wish to be around the dogs company.

CRAZY HAIR DAY!

We had some Panthers with some AMAZING hair styles as part of our super fun Spirit Week this week! Thanks to all the parents who no doubt helped HUGELY with some of these "crazy" styles!
