Principal's Weekly Update
September 9th-13th
Dear Families,
This week students have gotten back into their routines and are buckling down in their classrooms. Our middle school students were hard at work building bridges in a STEM project. Our elementary students started their new phonics program. Our students in grades 5-8 also visited St. Anthony of the Desert Church to see an exhibit on Eucharistic Miracles and visit first class relics of Bl. Carlo Acutis. We attended Mass at Holy Name Church on Thursday to celebrate the opening of the new school year.
This Thursday, 9/12 at 6 pm, we will have our Back to School Night. The evening will begin with a presentation in the gym by Fr. Williams and me. Parents will then go to their child's classroom to meet their teachers and learn about the year ahead. The School Life Committee will have a table set up to promote all the great work the group is doing within our community. The main office will also have a table for parents who want to complete the CORI process so they can be approved as volunteers and/or chaperones. We strongly encourage that all families attend this event.
Our third annual Oktoberfest is scheduled for October 5th from 12-8. This is a family event with live entertainment, food, vendors, children's activities, raffles, and more. Over the next few weeks you will be sent information about different opportunities to support this event. All money raised goes towards keeping tuition affordable. Please keep an eye out for more information and consider attending our next planning meeting on Monday, September 9th, at 6 pm.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
Sincerely,
Megan dos Santos
Principal
