Northumberland Hills Newsletter
December 2024
Dear Northumberland Hills Families,
December is a time for reflection, celebration, and looking ahead to the new year. Thank you for your ongoing dedication to making our school a vibrant and caring place for all.
A Heartfelt Thank You for Joyful Giving
We are thrilled to report that our second annual Joyful Giving event was a tremendous success! Our students had a fantastic time shopping for others, and we could not have done it without the generous donations from our community. A special thanks to our School Council for organizing the event, the staff for their support, and the Grade 7 and 8 students who helped make the experience run smoothly. We also introduced the JOYful Giving Café this year, which was a delightful addition, offering delicious treats for all. Your kindness truly made a difference, and we’re so grateful for everyone’s contributions.
Safety Reminder: Reporting Absences on Snow Days
If your child will be absent from school and does not ride a bus, please remember to use our Safe Arrival System to report their absence.
STSCO Transportation Update
With winter weather conditions soon to be upon us, STSCO would like to share the Winter Weather Newsletter. Please contact STSCO directly with any questions or concerns about school transportation.
A Season of Giving As we move into the holiday season, we encourage our students and families to continue the spirit of giving, whether it’s through donating to local charities such as our Toy and Food Drive, which ends this week.
Final Thoughts: We want to extend our sincere thanks to all of our parents, caregivers, staff, and students for their continued support. The generosity and spirit of our school community are truly inspiring, and we are excited to see what the new year brings.
Wishing everyone a wonderful winter break!
