WINTER SPIRIT WEEK IS NEXT WEEK
This year’s theme is “Let the Games Begin!” Like homecoming week, each day will have daily different dress up days and lunchtime activities with a rally on Friday after second period with a staff vs. staff Zorb soccer game at lunch to top off the week. Below is a list of days:
MONDAY-Valentines Day-Wear Red and Pink w/ cookie decorating in quad
TUESDAY-Jersey Day-Wear a jersey or sports attire w/ ultimate frisbee at stadium
WEDNESDAY-Among Us Day-Wear solid colors from head 2 toe w/ musical chairs
THURSDAY-Game Show Day-Wear fancy/preppy gear and play tennis
FRIDAY-Greek Week Day-Wear your class color w/ Zorb soccer at stadium
Grade Level colors include: 9th-yellow, 10th-green, 11th-blue, 12th-red
CLEAR YOUR ABSENCES
Clear Absences this Month by Midnight Feb 28, 2022
Attendance Month Deadline - Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 1/31/22-2/25/22 by Monday, February 28th. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes.
WINTER FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Band Boosters is proud to announce that a new date has been scheduled for Winter Formal on Saturday, March 19th from 7-10 at Grace Bible Church’s courtyard. Seniors will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets as the max capacity is 400 for this event. Be sure to check your school email and follow @aghseagles.com for more information.
HOMEWORK CENTER
The Homework Center will be open after school like normal on Tuesday, Wed and Thursday from 3-4pm this week.
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
PALENTINE DAY SALES START NEXT WEEK
Link Crew will be selling “Pal”entine Day grams with conversation heart boxes and roses at break and lunch. Make someone’s day on Feb. 14th with a gram.
MIRACLE MINUTE MONDAY
Next Monday, we will be hosting another Miracle Minute during advisory class. Proceeds will go to the Five Cities Homeless Coalition. Like we did during Kindness Week, leadership students will be collecting money and awarding the winning advisory with treats AND Greek Week points for the most generous grade levels.

WOMAN'S CLUB OF ARROYO GRANDE SCHOLARSHIP
The deadline for the Woman's Club of Arroyo Grande Scholarship is February 15th. Go to the AGHS website under scholarships to apply or stop by the College & Career Center for more information.
CSF POTENTIAL MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Potential members should have received notification last Friday for their fall 2021 grades. CSF is an statewide recognition program for students who prove academic rigor and high marks for semester grades. If you have questions, see Mr. Hurtado in room #919.

SPRING SPORTS NIGHT IS TONIGHT FEBRUARY 7TH: All potential spring sport athletes and families are invited to attend this year’s Spring Sports night in Doug Hitchen Stadium tonight. The Athletic Boosters will have the snack bar and merchandise room open for business starting at 5:30 before the meeting begins at 6 pm.
TRACK AND FIELD: Attention all student-athletes wanting to be on the TRACK TEAM...We have finished Pre-season Track Conditioning, Now it's time to start running fast! February is when we begin to bring out equipment and learn some techniques. If you want to be on the track team, get out there now, meet near the stadium flagpole at 3:10. If you are still involved with a winter sport, come see us when your sport finishes. You must have completed sports registration with BigTeams and had a physical.

Submitting your community service hours
The Google Form for Community Service Hours is used for the graduation requirement of 20 hours. Any hours in addition to your graduation requirement should be submitted on the Give Back 250 Google Classroom with Mr. Hurtado.

Staff Notices
REMINDERS: STAFF: Wear your ID when on campus. Also, Continue to be diligent about proper mask wearing in the classroom. Refer any issues to grade level admin.
TEACHER PARTICIPATION: As case managers and counselors are setting up meetings with students with Fs, it is absolutely vital and expected that all teachers participate in IEP, 504 and SST meetings. It is imperative that you provide your feedback and participation...a sub can be provided if needed, just let the case manager know. Please indicate on the calendar invite why you can’t make it if you decline.
