Parent/Student Newsletter August 2024
Stanton Middle School Family! We hope you had a fantastic summer. As we begin the new school year, here are some important updates:
First, thank you for your ongoing support and understanding throughout our registration process. Your involvement in your child's education is crucial to their success, and we look forward to working together to ensure every student has a rewarding learning experience.
Please note times and procedures for arrival and dismissal:
- Doors open at 7:35, school starts at 8:00, and ends at 4:00. If your child has an appointment and needs to leave early please come to the front office with your ID. Once students return to school, they have up to three days to turn in a Doctors Note or Parent Note before the absence becomes unexcused.
- Car riders will be dismissed by the gym with vehicle traffic only. This process will take about 15 minutes total after the first few days. We do ask for your patience as we get the year started. You will notice this process gets quicker everyday.
- Walkers will be dismissed to cross with the crosswalk on College Street. Students will not be dismissed to parents/guardians on foot in the car rider line and will not be dismissed via the office without prior arrangement.
- All students will be released according to the transportation arrangements we have on file. If you need to update these, please call our office. Changes to bus transportation may take up to a few days.
We value open communication. Parent-teacher conferences will be scheduled throughout the year to discuss your child's progress. We look forward to working with you for the best possible results for your child.
If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please reach out to us. Together, we can make this school year a great success for all our students. Thank you for trusting us with your child's education. Here's to an amazing school year!
Warm Regards,
Nicole Collier
