A Message From The Administration Team
Happy April! Spring is in full bloom, and with it comes an exciting and busy time at our school. As we head into spring break, we hope your families enjoy a well-deserved rest. This month also leads up to important state and end-of-year testing, so we appreciate your support in ensuring students are well-prepared. In addition, we are gearing up for final field trips, end-of-year celebrations, and other special events to wrap up the school year on a high note. Please stay tuned for important dates and details, and as always, thank you for your partnership in making this a successful and memorable time for our students!

Field Trip Reminders
Please remember that students attending field trips must return their signed permission slips on time. Only parents that are pre-approved chaperones that have completed the background check are allowed to attend. This should be arranged with the teacher prior to the field trip. Parents not completing the volunteer application in a timely manner may not be able to chaperone. Any parent that has not pre-arranged to be a chaperone with the teacher will not be able to join the students at the field trip venue for safety reasons. Students attending the field trip should wear their ACA blue t-shirts. Please do not bring Stanley cups or large water bottles on the trip as there is no where to store them or anyone to carry them all from place to place. Plastic water bottles and disposable lunch bags are best.
Mrs. Mehaffey and Mrs. Elliott's K4
Mrs. Mehaffey and Mrs. Elliott's K4 classes are working hard learning and growing in our math and literacy skills. We're also learning how to communicate with others and work together as we solve problems. A favorite time of our day is our "choice time" where we make our own plan and learn through play.
End of Year Celebrations
Each grade level will have an End of Year Celebration and you are invited! You will receive more information soon with specific times and details, but here is a sneak peek of what to expect:
Friday, May 9th- 1st Grade
Monday, May 12th- K5/K4/St Clair
Thursday, May 15th- 2nd Grade
Monday, May 19th- 3rd Grade
Tuesday, May 20th- 4th Grade
Wednesday, May 21- 5th Grade
Your child will share with you what they have learned this year! If you are unable to attend, please encourage your child to invite another VIP to share their accomplishments with. We are limited to no more than 2 guests per student due to space restrictions.
State Testing
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will take state standardized testing in May. Please do not schedule any appointments during this time so that your child does not have to participate in make up testing. Unfortunately, make up testing often coincides with some of the many fun activities we have in May so we encourage your child to arrive on time and have good attendance during testing!
