🍎Principal's Corner
Red Hawk Clubs
Our next round of clubs will run from 4/10/25 until 5/15/2025.
Students in Choir club and Memory Makers remain in their club until 5/15 and are unable to sign up for another club.
Please make sure to read ALL information to ensure your child is eligible for the club (not all clubs accept all grade levels) and that you can commit to the time frame (dropping off early or picking up late).
Please choose a 1st choice, 2nd choice, and 3rd choice option. You may not choose the same club for more than 1 preference choice. If you would only like to participate in 1 club, please only fill out your first choice option.
Students will be RANDOMLY selected and placed into clubs that they have chosen as a preference. This is a new process and a result of feedback we have been given. Thank you for your understanding!
Students may participate in ONLY ONE club.
Club Sign Ups will close on 3/14/2025

✅ Attendance
What if my student has to be out of school for an extended period of time?
If your child must go out of town for one to fifteen days, you may request that your child is signed up for an Short-Term Independent Study Agreement. By enrolling in Short-Term Independent Study, and your student has the work completed upon return, your child would be marked present for those days they were gone.
What is Chronic Absenteeism and why is it important?
Students are considered chronically absent when they miss 10 percent or more of school for any reason. Left unaddressed, chronic absence can translate into students having difficulty learning to read by Grade 3, reaching grade-level standards in middle school, and graduating from high school.
California Education Code (EC) Section 60901(c)(1) defines it as “a pupil who is absent on 10 percent or more of the school days in the school year when the total number of days a pupil is absent is divided by the total number of days the pupil is enrolled and school was actually taught in the regular day schools of the district, exclusive of Saturdays and Sundays.”
☕ Coffee with the Principal Presentation Archive
Our most recent Coffee with the Principal with Mrs. Tarry was a great way to hear about all the fantastic things that are happening in the library! If you weren't able to attend, we have linked the presentation below!
A few parents also asked what color "dot" on the library book corresponds to which lexile level, so we have included a picture of below!
