A Message From Principal Dillman
On behalf of the entire administrative team, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the new academic year! We are thrilled to embark on our tenth year together, and we couldn't be more excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for our staff, scholars, and families.
As I begin my 10th year on our Sunrise Campus, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the opportunity to continue serving this incredible community as the School Principal. I am truly grateful to work alongside such dedicated educators, supportive families, and, most importantly, our amazing scholars.

Start Your Parent Service Hours Today!
Parent involvement significantly contributes to students' academic success by fostering a sense of safety and security and enhancing learning gains. At Franklin Academy, families are expected to contribute a minimum of eight (8) Parent Service Hours each academic year, regardless of the number of students enrolled.
These service hours must be completed between July 1st and June 30th of each school year and cannot be fulfilled through financial contributions or donations. Families can earn service hours both at school and at home, with opportunities provided by the school.
Volunteers must sign in at the front desk and wear a VOLUNTEER BADGE at all times while on campus. Failure to sign out after volunteering will result in the hours not counting toward the service hour requirement.
Failure to meet this annual requirement may result in consequences, including:
- Possible exclusion from returning the following year.
- Restrictions on students' participation in extra-curricular activities.
- Service hours may only be performed by parents, legal guardians, and immediate family members who have submitted an official volunteer application. Exceptions to this rule require prior approval from school officials.
- Siblings performing service hours on behalf of the family must be 18 years or older and not currently attending a public school.
Please refer to the Service Hour Brochure on the school website for detailed policies and requirements.

Positive School-Wide Culture
We began implementing our House System School-Wide Initiative last school year, adopted from the Ron Clark Academy. It is a dynamic, exciting, and proven way to create a positive climate and culture for students and staff.
All of our K-Year 3 scholars and educators are apart of a House. K-5th Grade scholars are part of their educator's House. At the end of the school year, our 5th Graders will have a House Ceremony to gain their own House moving into Year 1 (6th Grade). The House chooses them!
Year 1- Year 3 scholars are apart of their own house. The scholars remain in their House for the entirety of their Middle Years Programme (MYP) Educational Journey. Each House has unique properties such as its own color, symbols, nation of heritage, history, and more.
Throughout the year, our MYP Year 1-Year 3 scholars are celebrated for their efforts through a House Point System that builds character, empowers academic excellence, fosters school spirit, enhances relationships, and promotes a culture of belonging for all.
While scholars are competing to win the House Incentive each month and should feel proud of their House, they are encouraged by our staff to celebrate and cheer each other on, no matter what House they are in. We are Five Houses, ONE family!
