Teacher Professional Development Days- Jeans/ Sweats & Appropriate Tops

• Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday: Professional Attire
• Wednesday: College/ Service/ Fraternity/ Sorority Day w/ Jeans
• Friday: Spirit Day- RMS Attire or School Colors (Black, Green, or Silver) w/ Jeans

*Custodial Staff, Health, & PE Coaches are allowed to wear shorts and sweats.

*All Faculty and Staff are required to wear your FCS identification badge and Centegix Alert badge, everyday.

What is TKES:

An evaluation system for building teacher effectiveness and ensuring consistency and comparability throughout the state of Georgia.

January/February TKES Tasks

1. Walkthrough or Formative Observations✔️

- Walkthrough Observation- Receive feedback on 2-4 TKES Performance Standards

- Formative observation- Receive feedback on all 10 TKES Performance Standards

Evaluating administrators will provide guidance for completing these tasks.

RMS CLASSROOM NON-NEGIOTIABLES

SOAR

We use the acronym "SOAR" to provide a visual guide for students as they engage in the learning process in each RMS classroom.

• S- Standard (Write out the entire standard, large enough so students can view it from any location in your classroom)
• O- Objective (same as the learning target)
• A- Agenda (What are students doing? Include a short summary of your warm-up and work session activity.)
• R- Review (Include a short summary of how you will close your lesson, i.e. ticket out the door)

*Do not forget to post your updated SOAR on your board every day!

WORD WALLS

Word walls support vocabulary develop by providing constant access to important key terms. Below are a few ideas for incorporating your word wall into your lesson:

• Venn Diagram
• Frayer Models
