Mission Statement
A message from our Principal, Ms. Garcia...
Parents,
We have had a very busy year so far. It’s hard to believe we are just a few weeks away from the Winter holiday break. Please enjoy the time with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

PBIS
Truitt has had enormous improvements since the year began, especially in the 8th grade. With the implementation of PBIS and our new PACK Pride expectations, students are ever more conscious of what are the campus expectations within the classroom, hallway, commons, restrooms, and bus ramps. These expectations, day by day, have been ensuring a safe, learning environment for our students.
Our 8th Grade students are demonstrating greater pride, accountability, cooperation, and kindness towards their peers and their teachers, and it reflects it so within their academics and their behavioral statistics. Great job 8th graders!
If you need another reason to applaud your child, then you should know that the kids have been great about wearing their badges and clear backpacks. Thank you all for making our school safer! Parents, please continue to encourage your children to keep up the great work.
Also, as you probably are aware, we have a newly refurbished campus for our students to enjoy. Please help us encourage the kids to show pride for their school by not chewing gum at school as it is also not allowed. We were fortunate this year to get fresh, new carpet installed throughout the campus and new desks for our students to use. Let's show our PACK pride and keep them gum-free. We are proud of the changes to our school and would like to maintain them.
Lunch Policy
Students will not be called to pick up lunch. Parents need to contact student to let them know lunch has been delivered. No UberEats or pizza delivery for students will be allowed.
Car Rider Line
- Right turns only when you are exiting the Truitt parking lot.
- Do not drop off students on Addicks Satsuma. This causes a dangerous situation for your student and for the cars around you.
Notes from the Nurse!
If you have received a vision referral for your student...
There is an opportunity to get a free eye exam and free glasses through the City of Houston health department. With a signed consent form, your child can attend a free chaperoned school field trip to a Kids Vision Clinic in January. There are no requirements for the program. If you have Medicaid or insurance, you can still take advantage of the program. There is a deadline for acceptance into the program and a limited number of students are accepted.
If you are interested in the program, please notify the school nurse at 281-856-1121 or have your child stop in the clinic and pick up a consent form. The deadline is November 30th.
Extracurricular Student Behavior
All students must follow the Timberwolf Guidelines:
1. All students must go home before returning to campus. Athletes and fine arts students will follow the guidelines from their coach or director.
2. In order to purchase your game day ticket at lunch, students must be wearing their ID badge. Students can not purchase tickets at the door unless they are with their parent.
3. Badges must be worn properly at all times.
4. All students must stay in the appropriate area of the building.
6. Students who are not picked up 15 minutes after game time may lose the opportunity to participate in events in the future.
