Week of March 2nd
Good Afternoon Killam Families,
I cannot believe it is already March! Where has the time gone?!
This week is Read Across America Week! Reading both in and out of school is so important! The gift of teaching our students vocabulary is one of the top indicators for future student success. We encourage you and your children to read at home together and we will keep reading together during our reading lab blocks at school!
On Friday your child is invited to dress like their favorite book character to celebrate! Next week we will have some community readers supported through our awesome PTO. Stay tuned to hear about our readathon event and additional ways you can support your growing reader at home.
All the best,
Lindsey Fulton, Principal
