Professional Learning Essentials

Our first District Level Professional Learning session will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Please note the times:

• Elementary: 8:00am-4:00pm
• Secondary: 7:30am-3:30pm
• SPED: 8:00am-4:00pm (per approved variance)
• Band and Orchestra: 7:30am-3:30pm (per approved variance)

We will have a District-Wide Symposium as our Professional Learning on September 3, 2024.

The theme of our Symposium will be "Moving from Teaching to Learning" with sessions designed around the OPS Strategy Playbook.

You will sign up for sessions beginning on Monday, August 19!

We will use Sched to sign up for sessions.

You will want to be sure you have Sched account prior to August 19th!

Requests for movement on the salary schedule are due by October 15, 2024.

All college credits that will be used for a salary movement request for 2024-25

• Must have been completed and transcripted by July 31, 2024
• Must be submitted in Frontline by August 31, 2024
• Transcripts must be sent to etranscripts@olatheschools.org by August 31, 2024

All professional development activities completed from August 1, 2023 through July 31, 2024

• Must be submitted in Frontline by August 31, 2024

All CEUs (for those eligible) completed from August 1, 2023 through July 31, 2024

• Must be submitted in Frontline by August 31, 2024
