Open House/Supply Drop Off
We're trying something new this year! Rather than having a curriculum night after the school year starts, we will do an open house/meet the teacher/supply drop off on Thursday, August 22, from 5:00-6:00 PM. Families and students can come in, drop off their supplies before the first day of school, meet their teacher, and learn about all the cool things they will be doing this school year!
Doors 1, 5, 6, 8, 14, and 16 will be open:
Specials teachers and specialists will be in their spaces marked above if you'd like to stop by!

The left lane will be for thru traffic only and not be used for drop off.
As soon as your car enters the Drop Off Zone, your child should exit the vehicle on their own. Students will then be directed to their designated grade level area.
Updated Car Drop Off Cars dropping off students should be in the right lane and only drop off in the designated drop off zone, leaving the left lane open for thru traffic. Both lanes merge at the stop sign.
If a child arrives after 8:50 AM they must be brought to the main office by their grown up.
Dismissal

Walkers will exit on the north side of the building. 1st grade students will need an adult to pick them up from door 14.
Car Pickup will be at the end of the south parking lot. Cars form a single line in the parking lot to pick up their students outside of Door 8. Families picking up students will receive a nametag on the first day of school that should be displayed either on the passenger visor or hanging from the rearview mirror. Staff will be present to help students find their cars. Parents cannot walk up to the Car Rider staging area to retrieve children.
Please be alert and cautious when driving around the school and in the parking lot. Cars can only take a right turn at the stop sign when leaving the parking lot.
HEADS UP! - Construction at Euclid and Burning Bush
The Cook County Department of Transportation & Highways (CCDOTH) is performing ADA sidewalk and signal upgrades at the intersections Euclid & Wheeling and Euclid & Burning Bush. This work is part of a county-wide project involving over a dozen intersections. According to CCDOTH, sidewalk work at Euclid is planned to be completed and in service before the start of the school year. Signal work will still be in progress. Work at Burning Bush will follow. CCDOTH plans to add stone to either the west or east side of the intersection so students crossing Euclid can safely reach Indian Grove School. More details.

Please fill out this form if you would like to receive emails regarding gift donations for teachers, pictures from holiday parties, and other information from your child's Head Room Parent. Without your email address, Head Room Parents are unable to send you information throughout the year.
Classroom parties, field trips, and other school activities rely heavily on parent volunteers. Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering!
Head Room Parents (HRP) are in charge of assigning volunteers to activities. They also send out gift donation letters and are in charge of collecting $ and purchasing holiday/end of the year gifts for the teacher. HRPs will be chosen and notified by email by August 30.
Your child's HRP will contact you to let you know what they have assigned to you, based on what you mark on this form. In most cases, classrooms have a lot of volunteers so you may not be able to volunteer for everything you mark on this form.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Amanda Marcus at amarcus85@outlook.com.
