Wells Fargo STEM Trip
The Philadelphia Flyers, Future Goalsâ„¢, and PECO recently teamed up to provide Charles Boehm Middle School students with an engaging and interactive STEM-focused field trip at the Wells Fargo Center. The students explored STEM in action through five exciting activity stations, each highlighting different aspects of hockey, engineering, careers, and game operations. Supported by the NHL and NHLPA, the Future Goals Hockey Scholarâ„¢ initiative offers middle school students valuable STEM education through the lens of hockey. Students rotated through stations including Game Presentation in the control room, Shot on Goal with retired Flyers player Bob "Hound" Kelly, Locker Room Tour & Hockey 101, Zamboni & Ice Maintenance, and Event Changeover. After the activities, students enjoyed lunch with a special visit from Gritty and had the chance to win signed hockey pucks by answering Future Goals trivia. This hands-on experience provided a unique learning opportunity for all participants.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are happy to announce that the Treehouse Peer Support Group will be returning to the Pennsbury Middle School campus for the 24-25 school year.
Treehouse staff will be facilitating a support group at each of our middle schools for students who may be experiencing a hardship or struggle in their lives. The goal of the peer support group is to create a space where students feel safe sharing what’s going on in their lives and receive support from peers and adult leaders (see the attached flyer). The group will meet one time per week during the school day throughout the school year. If you are interested in having your child participate in the Treehouse Peer Support Group please click this link Treehouse Permission. Groups will begin on Tuesday October 1st, 2024.
