Day Cycle
We will be following a 6-day cycle again for school this year. Your child's special schedule will be based on the cycle days rather than days of the week. Below are the cycle days for the next two weeks.

NHUF Information
Student Council Food Drive - Preston's Pantry
NHUF Student Council will be holding a holiday food drive from November 28th thru December 13th. NHUF has partnered with Preston’s Pantry, which is a program of the Boyertown Area Multi-Service. They are looking for non-perishable items to help families in need this holiday season throughout the Boyertown area. Please consider making a donation to help families this holiday season. Collection boxes will be in the gym lobby. Thank you for your support.
Food Items Needed: Rice, Instant Mashed Potatoes, Pancake Mix, Tuna, Canned Fruit, Canned Soups, Pasta Sauce, Crackers, Granola Bars, Pasta Sides, Cereal, Meat Meals - Chef Boyardee, Manwich, Spam, etc.
Hygiene Items Needed: Laundry Detergent, Shampoo, Conditioner, Bar Soap, Dish Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Baby Wipes, Deodorant, etc.
Attendance/Late to School Procedures
If your child will be absent OR late to school, please complete the electronic attendance form or email attendancenhuf@boyertownasd.org (preferably before 9:00 AM). The electronic attendance form can be found on our school's website. Students who are brought to school late will need to be accompanied by an adult and signed in at the office.

Winter Choral Concert - December 19
Please join us at Middle School West on Tuesday, December 19th at 7:00 PM for our Winter Choral Concert. Fourth and fifth graders have been practicing and are excited to perform.

Classroom/Birthday Treats
All classroom/birthday treats must be labeled with ingredients. If possible, please be sure treats are of the same type (same flavor, no icing, all icing, etc.) and are individually wrapped.

Below you will find information regarding health room procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the health room nurses at 610-473-1770.
Hello, NHUF parents and guardians! My name is Desiree Wilson and I have recently joined Mrs. Erin Kovach in the Health Office. I am excited to be here and look forward to getting to know you and your child/children. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. My email is dwilson@boyertownasd.org. I split my time between NHUF and WES, while Mrs. Kovach is here daily. I wish you all a joyous holiday season!
Physical & Dental Forms: All state mandated Kindergarten and 3rd grade private dental forms and all Kindergarten private physical exam forms are due now. If you have an upcoming appointment, please notify the health room of the appointment and we will make note of the date in your child’s record.
Medication Information: If your child requires prescription or over-the-counter medication while at school, a medication authorization form must be completed by your physician. Once completed, please submit the paperwork, then contact the health room to schedule an appointment to drop off your child’s medication. Prescription medications must be in an original pharmacy labeled container. Over-the-counter medication must be in original packaging. Please refer to the BASD website for more information.
Returning Paperwork: Please return any health room forms (Physical, Dental, Medication) via email if possible. You can scan and email the original document or email a photograph from your phone to either dwilson@boyertownasd.org or ekovach@boyertownasd.org
When to keep your child home:
As stated in the BASD student handbook, if your child exhibits any of the following symptoms, it is recommended that you keep your child home from school and consult with the child’s primary health care provider:
1. A cough interfering with your child’s sleep or ability to participate in school activities.
2. A cough that is productive and has phlegm or is associated with fever or trouble breathing.
3. Fever: A temperature equal to or greater than 100 degrees without the use of a fever reducing medication. Please note that the student’s temperature should remain normal without the use of fever reducing medication for 24 hours prior to the return to school.
4. Nausea, Vomiting or diarrhea.
5. Unusual skin eruptions, hives or rash.
6. Redness or drainage from the eyes.

*We recommend keeping a change of clothing in your child’s backpack, regardless of their age, as clothing can become soiled due to a bathroom accident, fall outside in the mud, or because of spilling food/drink.*

It is that time of year!! You're invited to submit pictures to be considered for the yearbook. If you've got great photos of school events, the Yearbook Crew would love to see them!! Just a few ideas of photos we want to see:

- School Spirit
- Band/Orchestra
