Getting Rockdale County Students Post-Secondary READY!
November is GA Appy to College Month!
The goal of Georgia Apply to College (GAC) is to provide all Georgia high school seniors with the opportunity to apply to college with a focus on providing assistance to first generation and underrepresented students as they navigate the college application process.
Each week in November the RCPS Counseling Programs at each School will focus on a specific type of post-secondary school providing students with information and access. We intend for the month to be engaging, informative and fun! Students look out for information from your school counselors and Seniors, Let's Apply!
GEORGIA MATCH is a simple way for you to know where you are eligible for admission (to be admitted to college), based on your recent high school calculated HOPE grade point average (GPA). Seniors should check their GSF inbox to see which GA Colleges you have matched with. You will continue to learn about this awesome opportunity through your school counselor, and by receiving messages through REMIND and in Canvas.
The county will host a GA MATCH Day event on November 4, 2024. Come to RCA at 5pm to learn more about college, technical school, the military and financial aid. Make sure you register to attend.
Are you interested in the Military?
Speak with your School Counselor about your decision and find out when the ASVAB, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, will be administered at your school. When the recruiters visit your school make sure you meet with them to discuss opportunities.
