Relationship Week
The Office of Whole Child Supports invites you to participate in Relationship Week from Monday, February 10-14, 2025. This year’s theme is Promoting Healthy Communities.
Celebrate kindness, connection, empathy, and belonging in your classroom, school, organization, or community. Research has shown that more hopeful students perform better, believe in pathways to desired goals, and are naturally motivated to pursue them.

Per Columbus City School policy, parents are only allowed 9 parent authorized attendance excuses.
Arrival - Student drop off REAR OF BUILDING as early as 7am (breakfast 7:00 am - 7:25)
- Dismissal - Pickup student REAR OF BUILDING 2:30pm
- Parents must come to the front of the building to sign a student out. Students will be called from their classroom when you arrive.
- Students that sign in after 10:00am must sign in with a parent/guardian.

Senior Year Book "personal" section for your graduate and YOU!
Dear Parents/Guardians of Senior Graduates Class of 2025,
We are pleased to inform you that in this school year’s yearbook, we will be adding a “personal” section for your graduate from you! We are also planning to show these pics at the senior graduation ceremony.
You will have the choice of one or two or all of the following:
Post your graduates Senior Portrait
Post your graduates baby picture or a young picture
Post a message to your graduate (Try to keep under 5 sentences)
Once you have decided what you want to submit, email it to colson@columbus.k12.oh.us (Christy Olson) Yearbook Editor.
Please make sure to include your graduates first and last name.

College Credit Plus
Students who will be in 7th through 12th grades for the 2025-2026 school year are eligible to apply for CCP. Admission into the program is determined by the college/university for which the student takes CCP courses.
Information Sessions
Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025 at Dominion Middle School (100 Arcadia Ave.) at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 12, 2025 at Mifflin High School (3245 Oak Spring Street) at 6:30 p.m.

Elementary School Choice Fair - February 6
Types of School Choice Applications:
School Choice Lottery: For parents/guardians of KG-12th grade students wishing to apply to attend a school other than the school assigned.
Reservation Admissions: For students who currently attend a school that is eligible to reserve a seat in the next school with the same programming. Reservation applications will be available on January 6, 2025 and must be submitted by January 31, 2025 via the School Choice link in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Request to Return to Home School: For students attending a school in Columbus City Schools that is not their school of address. The request will be available for submission beginning on January 6, 2025 and must be submitted via the School Choice link in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal by March 21, 2025.
Selective Admissions: For students who meet specific criteria. The Selective Admissions application will be available on January 8, 2025, for students who qualify, and must be submitted via the School Choice link in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal by January 31, 2025.
Inter-District Open (IOE) Enrollment: For students living outside of the Columbus City Schools boundaries and wish to attend a school in the CCS District. IOE application deadlines follow the same deadlines as the School Choice Lottery.
Airforce Junior ROTC: For students entering 9th-12th grade who want to join the Airforce Junior ROTC on the campus of Fort Hayes HS. Students who are accepted to Fort Hayes through the Junior ROTC lottery, must adhere to all ROTC guidelines. Students who are accepted to Fort Hayes through the Junior ROTC lottery will be returned to their school of address should a decision be made that drops ROTC from the student's schedule. ROTC applications will be available on January 6, 2025 and must be submitted by February 21, 2025.
School Choice Dates to apply for the 2025-2026 School Year:
- High School & Middle School Lottery Applications: Accepted via the Parent Portal for the lottery draw Monday, January 6, 2025 through Friday, February 28, 2025. Late applications are added to the bottom of the waitlist in the date/time order of receipt.
- Elementary School Lottery Applications: On-time lottery applications accepted via the Parent Portal for the lottery draw Monday, February 3, 2025 through Monday, March 31, 2025. Late applications are added to the bottom of the waitlist in the date/time order of receipt.
- Selective Admissions Applications: Applications available to eligible students Wednesday, January 8, 2025 with a submission deadline of Friday, January 31, 2025. Applications must be submitted via the Parent Portal.
- Request to Return to Homeschool Application: Accepted via the Parent Portal Monday, January 6, 2025, through Friday, March 21, 2025.
- Reservations: Accepted via the Parent Portal for eligible students from Monday, January 6, 2025, through Friday, January 31, 2025.
- ROTC: Accepted via the Parent Portal Monday, January 6, 2025 through Friday February 21, 2025.

Over 50 community organizations, partners, and Columbus City Schools departments have gathered to share information on camps, academic enrichment, STEM, arts, and overall summer fun.
This year's festivities also feature workshops to guide families through the graduation requirements, college financial aid updates, special needs opportunities, and more.

Free Legal Office Hours
Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) will be at the Hilltop Library (511 S. Hague Ave, 43204) the following Mondays from 4-6PM to answer questions. First come, first served. To receive free advice, you must have a gross household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Please be prepared to show proof of immigration status (if a non-citizen). Attorneys are available to answer questions only, and they will not attend court with you.

FreshTrak Food Pantry Location
Freshtrak is an online tool that can be used to search for food access “events” in your community. Daily pantry hours, pop-up food events, and neighborhood resources are organized by zip code.
Free Identification Card for Ohioans
The State of Ohio offers FREE ID cards for Residents.
Who is eligible for a free Ohio Identification Card?
In order to qualify for a Free Ohio Identification Card (ID):
- You must be an Ohio resident
- You must be 17 years old or older
- Ohioans who are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
- You can not already hold a valid driver license. Driver License holders can, however, choose to downgrade to a State ID.
Where do I get a free Identification Card (ID)?
In-Person
Visit any BMV deputy registrar license agency in Ohio.
Online
Many individuals who already have a valid State Identification card can renew their ID online through BMV Online Services. Replacement IDs for lost or stolen cards may also be obtained in certain circumstances through BMV Online Services.
How do I get a free Identification Card (ID)?
Ohio Identification (ID) Cards are issued to Ohio residents who do not have a valid driver license. If an individual has a driver license in a different state and applies for an Ohio ID, the driver license from that state will be canceled.
Ohio ID cards are valid for four years or eight years and there is no minimum age for obtaining one. You must provide proof of:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Social Security number (if ever assigned)
- Legal presence
- Ohio residency

Hygiene Help at Dodge Community Center
Divine Dignity helps bridge the gap for people in the community by providing access to free hygiene and cleaning products each month. Divine Dignity will be at Dodge Rec Center (667 Sullivant Ave) from 10AM-5PM on the third Friday of the month to distribute 6 free hygiene or cleaning items. Please bring your ID.
