First Days of School: Thurs+Fri, Sept. 5+6th. 9:00am-12:30pm

Welcome To The Shamrock Kindergarten and the Shamrock Community!

Kindergarten Only - First Two ½ Days: Thursday and Friday Sept. 5+6, *Special Hours 9:00am to 12:30pm. Meet near the front doors of the school.

Regular School Hours for Kindergarten beginning Monday, Sept, 9th = 8:15am - 2:50pm.

Please Attend if You Can: Popsicles on the Front Playground for Incoming Kindergarten Families

Tuesday, Sept. 3rd. 5:00-6:00pm.

Incoming K families are invited to come to the Shamrock Front Playground to play, meet some classmates and have a cool treat courtesy of our wonderful Shamrock PTO. We will also be offering families a brief tour to see the classrooms and our school with Principal Clark. We hope to see you on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd. 5:00-6:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE:

Woburn Public Schools does not assign Kindergarten Teachers until the end of the day on Friday, September 6th. The first two shortened days the students will work with all of our Kindergarten team. This time is used for us to get to know our new students, do some mini-assessments in literacy and math, and observe as our new students play and work. We then use all this information to create two, equal class rosters to help assure equity in both classrooms.

What does RESPECT mean for children?

Teaching respect in the classroom helps students succeed. When children are able to treat each other respectfully, they respond to direction and instruction in a positive way. In effect, they are more likely to succeed in academics. Distractions and behavioral disruptions are lessened. Communication lines open and are more relaxed. This makes for a more conducive learning environment.

Clothing/Textile Recycling Bin: Shamrock Front Lot

Our bin is in the front parking lot. It is collected and weighed each week. The more we recycle, the more money our PTO makes. Please help... Don't throw away those old clothes/pillows/blankets/shoes etc... Drop them off!
