Dear Hawley Parents/Guardians, Teachers, and Staff,

Welcome to Fall! October brings a lot to our schedule. We have Parent Conferences, Student Pictures and a couple of Fun Family PTA Events

(and of course.... METS Baseball ;0)~.

Buckle up, stay seated, and keep your hands and feet in the car at all times, as you read on to find out What's Happening at Hawley .....

Our Specials Open House was Tuesday, October 1. It was a family night where students and parents came to experience a little taste of every Special by rotating through each one for a fun activity. It was a wonderful evening. Thank you to those families that joined us.

Monthly, each Special Area Teacher will Spotlight one student in each grade. Students will receive a Certificate and be featured on our Specials Spotlight Bulletin Board.

They are looking for students showing bravery, modeling how to be a good sport, displaying perseverance, and demonstrating risk-taking, cooperation, teamwork, and encouragement.

Thank you to everyone that purchased Mums. The response was the best yet. We sold over 200 mums and raised around $1,100.

They were beautiful and definitely put you in the Fall Mood.

Wednesday, October 16, 6:00-7:30 PM we are carving pumpkins in the Hawley Gym. Please click HERE for more information, cost and sign up. We hope that you can join us.

The PTA Hawley Spooktacular is Thursday, October 17, 6:00-8:00 PM at Castle Hill Farm. There is Food, Music, Games, a Hayride and more. Click HERE for more information and registration. We do ask that you pay upon registration (not at the event).

• Parents picking up students at the end of the day, please do not start lining up until at least 3:15 PM as a long line develops and it congests the Fire Lane and creates traffic on Church Hill Road.
• Please make sure your child eats something before school and has a SNACK. Some lunches are early and there is an afternoon snack. Some lunches are later in the day and there is a morning snack.
• What's Happening Newsletters: All Newsletters are archived for the year on the Hawley Website under the ABOUT Section.

• Wed-Thurs, 10/23-10/24: Parent-Teacher Conferences
