Principal's Message

OMS Families,

Thank you to all who submitted "Heart" videos! Our hope was to share a video this week but because of the amazing participation and number of submissions, we will be working on student videos over the next couple of weeks. Ms. Davis received over 150 video or picture submissions!!

In the coming weeks, we will also introduce our new One Book One Community read aloud! We don't want to share the book title just yet, but we look forward to reading together as a community. The book can be found on EPIC so everyone will be able to access it to read along with us.

Virtual Hoot Drawing

Each month we celebrate students by having a Hoot Drawing. Students that have earned a Hoot Ticket place it into a bag and we randomly draw 2 names from each grade level. For our kindergarten friends, we read a story to their class. For our 1st-5th grade friends, we have a Hoot Lunch and special activity with the principals. Just because our school building is closed doesn't mean we can't celebrate.

This month's drawing is for all students who turned in a Hoot Ticket prior to leaving on March 17th. Next month we will conduct a Hoot Drawing with ALL student's names being submitted as we know ALL of our Olive Owls have done amazing things at home to keep learning and helping their families.
