LOCAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Euclid and Wolf Road Intersection Improvements
- Worked Scheduled to Begin Spring 2023
- The Cook County Department of Transportation & Highways will rehabilitate the intersection of Euclid Avenue & Wolf Road in 2023.
- Work will include removing and replacing the concrete pavement, curb & gutter, sidewalk ramps, pavement markings, and traffic signal detector loops.
- Motorists can expect delays during construction. The project will be completed in multiple stages that include various lane closures along both roadways. During one stage, the intersection will be closed with traffic required to follow a posted detour. The electronic message boards at the intersection will provide closure dates prior to this occurring.
- Information and updates regarding the project can be found by visiting Euclid Avenue & Wolf Road Intersection Improvements.

PE
We knocked the Kids Heart Challenge out of the park this year thanks to the many generous families at Prairie Trails. We had 78 students register for the challenge and we raised close to $7,000. We learned about taking care of our hearts with exercise, eating nutritious food, breathing clean air, getting 10 hours of sleep per night, and being kind & thankful. Our KHC celebration with RTMS Ravens club will be coming in April!
Don’t hesitate to email me with any questions. Beth Miller evossmiller@rtsd26.org
STEM
Animals, their characteristics and classifications are what we are focusing on in March and April. We are learning about mammals, amphibians, lizards, fish, and birds. We will soon have chick eggs to care for and investigate as we wait for them to hatch! That will begin mid April!
If you have any questions, please reach out to me at jwagner@rtsd26.org.
