Dear Hayshire Families,

'Tis the season! This week, we had a good mix of learning and holiday activities. Hayshire students and staff participated in a full week of Spirit Days. We are a festive and creative bunch! We will end the week with our traditional holiday sing-along. In addition to music, we will have a read aloud, poems, and some jokes!

Hayshire PTO gifted each of our students a book of their choice. We are so grateful for our generous PTO!

Once again, Stitches of Love knitted hats and scarves for our students. Every second grader selected a beautiful, handcrafted item.

On Tuesday, Kindergarten participated in a Cultural Fair presented by CYMS students. Our middle school friends presented information on several countries including Belgium, Thailand and Colonial America. Kindergarteners played games, danced to music, made crafts and enjoyed the time learning together!

Friday, December 20 is the last full day of school before the holiday. Our winter break is from Monday, December 23 through Wednesday, January 1. School will resume on Thursday, January 2.

Thank you to everyone who attended our last PTO meeting! Our next official meeting day is Thursday, January 9 at 6:00 pm in the library. Once again, PTO will provide child care during the meeting. We can’t wait to see you!

Optimist Art Competition

We have a very active Optimist Club at Central York High School! This is the first time Optimist International is offering a contest to elementary age students. This exciting competition is designed to encourage and celebrate youth visual art skills! The topic for the contest is Bringing Out the Best.

Central York School District offers optional protection plans for your child’s District issued devices.

The protection plan fully covers your child’s device for any accidental damage that occurs. The cost is $25 per year for iPads and $60 per year for Macbooks.
