Fremont Intermediate

Do not forget, our curriculum night is on Thursday, August 29. Each homeroom teacher will give two identical presentations. Each presentation will be the same so you only need to attend one of them. Our entire specials team and P.E. teachers will be located in the media center and all other staff members will be located in their rooms.

Also please note that we will have an online system for parents to sign up for our November parent/teacher conferences. In the past, many homeroom teachers would have a sign up out at curriculum night. This year you will not see that due to this change. Information on how to sign up for conference will be communicated at a later time.

The purpose of this intramural program is to provide Fremont's 5th grade girls and boys with quality instruction for the development of volleyball skills and the opportunity to utilize those skills in game situations. This program is offered to any 5th grade girl or boy who shows an interest in playing volleyball.

Participants in this program should wear appropriate clothing and shoes for playing volleyball (shorts and t-shirt). Participants may wear knee-pads, but it is not required. All other volleyball equipment will be provided.

There will be groups of Volleyball available with different dates. Please only register for only one Group. If you register for multiple groups you will be removed from one of them. Please make sure that your child is available to be there for the dates listed. If your child is unable to attend those dates please do not register and take another person's spot. Each practice will be every day listed before school from 8-8:45 am.

• Group 1 - September 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20.
• Group 2 - September 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, Oct. 1, 4, 7, 8, 10
• Group 3 - October 11, 15, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29

There will be a limit of 20 spots available per session. After the group fills up it will be closed. Volleyball will be a Co-Ed activity. The cost of the intramural is $25 per participant. This fee will be added to your teacherease account within 1 week of registration.

Here is a pamphlet and a video that provides an overview of the platform features. Students can go to their Clever Dashboard and select the Varsity Tutors icon to login to the platform. Any chat sessions students participate in are recorded and posted on their dashboard for future reference.

Want to make sure you stay up to date on all of FSD79's upcoming events? Individuals can subscribe to the District calendar and any school calendars of their choosing by visiting our web calendar and clicking on the grey RSS feed button in the upper right-hand corner. This will open a pop-up window, allowing users to select which calendars they'd like to subscribe to.

Please remind your child to charge their chromebook every night to ensure it's ready for use each day. It’s also a good idea to have them charge it in a location other than their bedroom. Additionally, please review the information provided below, as we will be going over this with all of our students as well.

We have been reminding our students that all Portable electronic equipment includes devices such as cell phones, video recording devices, smart watches, iPods, and other electronic devices are not able to be used during the school day and that they must be put away for the day. Please also refrain from texting your child during the day as well. You can always call the main office if you need to get information to your son/daughter.

FSD79 has collaborated with Mundelein School Districts 75 and 120, Fremont Library, Mundelein Parks and Recreation District, and Village of Mundelein to create a shared community resource guide. Picture day is coming up! Send your child to school looking picture perfect on Wednesday, September 11. All picture orders will be online only. Please see the flyer for your correct school code and ordering instructions.

SPIRIT WEAR

Spread school spirit with custom Wildcats gear! This online sale runs from Friday, August 23 - Friday September 6. NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED! All items are custom-made for you! Once the online sale is complete, items will go into production, which takes approximately 3-4 weeks before being shipped to Fremont. They will then be sent home with your child. PTO MEMBERSHIP/ONLINE DIRECTORY FOR 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

If you already have an account in Membership Toolkit, thank you for creating and/or updating your Membership Toolkit account last year.

If you don't have an account in Membership Toolkit, set it up now for free! Once you have created an account in Membership Toolkit your child will appear in the online directory immediately (that's if you choose to do so). To create an account, go to fsd79.membershiptoolkit.com and follow the directions in the attached form (Online Student Directory Set Up Instructions 2024-2025).

To gain access to the Online Student Directory your account must be active and you must pay the $15 PTO Membership Family Fee. If you paid your PTO Membership fee through your TeacherEase account before June 15th, your payment has been confirmed and you currently have access to the Online Student Directory. If you didn’t pay your PTO Membership Family Fee before June 15th, you can pay the $15 PTO Membership Family fee thru Venmo @Fremont-PTO; or by bringing or sending the attached form with your cash payment or check made payable to Fremont PTO to any school front office. The option to pay the PTO Membership Fee thru your TeacherEase account is no longer available. Once we receive confirmation of your payment, we will give you access to the online directory. Please note it may take up to one week to be granted access to the online directory.

BIRTHDAY BOARD

Celebrate your Fremont Student's special day! "Happy Birthday, Your Child's Name" can appear on the Fremont Electronic Message Board. Just complete the Birthday Board Request Google Form 2024-2025; or complete the birthday board form and send it back to any school front office with your $5 payment per birthday message.
