HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY SUMMER!
Dear Golden Eagle Families,
As we approach the final days of this school year, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude. Your unwavering support, dedication, and hard work have made this year truly special. From students and staff to our incredible PTO and families, each of you has contributed to the vibrant community we cherish.
Before we embark on our well-deserved summer break, we encourage you to visit our overflowing lost and found. Water bottles, hoodies, and other items await their rightful owners in the hallway by the cafeteria. Take a peek—you might find something you’ve been missing! (All items will be donated if not picked up by June 10th.)
If you know of a child in your neighborhood who will turn 5 years old by October 1st, please reach out to our front office. Registering early helps us better prepare for the upcoming school year and ensures a smooth transition for our little eagles.
For families relocating during the summer, we’re here to assist you. If you’ll be transferring your child(ren), please connect with Stephanie Ferrandino in the front office. (ferransm@pwcs.edu) She’ll guide you through the process seamlessly.
This year has been filled with remarkable memories—from STEM night to field day. We’ve witnessed growth, resilience, and countless moments of joy. As partners in education, we celebrate each achievement and look forward to the adventures that lie ahead.
Thank you for being part of our Golden Eagle family. Wishing you a safe, happy, and rejuvenating summer!
Your Partners in Education,
Kathryn Ngo, Principal
Maria Menjivar, Assistant Principal
SUMMER READS PROGRAM at RPES
While we are all looking forward to a well-earned summer break, we wanted to invite all of RPES’ families to our new “Summer Reads” program to address summer slide.
What is Summer Slide?
Research has shown that students often lose a significant knowledge in math and reading over summer break. A recent student of children in 3rd to 5th grade showed that students lost, on average, about 20% of their school year’s gain in reading and 27% of their school-year gains in math during summer break!
What is RPES Summer Reads program?
Every week, our school will be open for families to cozy up with a good book! Families can pick up free books to keep, in addition, to playing math games and connect with friends!
When: Every Tuesday, from June 25th to July 23rd
Time: 1:30-2:30pm
Where: RPES!
We hope to see you at our Summer Reads Program! We have lot of great books we can’t wait to share.
