Esports team concludes undefeated Spring season
Do you play League of Legends, Rocket League, or Tetris? Join Esports!
The Corbett Esports team finished their spring season on Saturday, May 11th with an undefeated season. The five players (Joey Kirnan, Jack Kirnan, Lizzie Loveland, Theo VanDam and Ben White) competed against five other teams in Oregon through February, March, and April, earning a semi-finals seed for the East Metro STEAM Partnership Esports tournament hosted by Vanta Gaming at Mt Hood Community College.
The undefeated season continued with a 56-3 score in the semi finals, completing a game in half the average time, advancing to the finals. The finals match against Ridgeview High School was won with a resounding victory of 26-3. The triumphant score was met with an immediate power outage that could have been a response to the solar flares over the weekend, or perhaps the victory was just that powerful!
The Esports team will continue to periodically practice in the off season, and is looking to fill the seats of the graduating seniors. Next season we will attempt to maintain our undefeated record as we seek to claim our Dynasty Title for a third season.
Reach out to Coach Binschus (rbinschus@corbett.k12.or.us) with any questions. Current game titles include League of Legends, Rocket League, and Tetris.

Ava, Cyrus and Logan all were honored for being in the top 8 in our league in all four events they competed in. I’d consider myself lucky to coach one athlete with so much ability.
