6th Grade Students in Mr. Branco's room had the opportunity to practice debate skills. Students had to create persuasive arguments and counter arguments as they worked collaboratively to make their pleas. The topic was Should Cell Phones Be Allowed in Schools. Nice work!

This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of our incredibly dedicated teachers for all the guidance and support they give to our students everyday! I invite you to send a note of thanks to your child's teacher. It will mean more than you can imagine.

The final phase of our new playground is now complete. The playground now has it's poured in place surface and has received final inspections. We look forward to years of enjoyment for our students with this project now complete.

Recently our 4th-6th grade students had a presentation on cyber safety from the District Attorney's Office. This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about the challenges and dangers children face online and how to best support them. I encourage all of our families to take part on this important summit.

It is time, once again for the annual Band Boosters guitar raffle. If you would like to take a chance on a beautiful, new electric guitar see John Williams or email him at jwilliams@sandwich.k12.ma.us for tickets. Chances are $5 for one ticket, $10 for 3 tickets. Cash check and venmo accepted. The drawing will be on May 29 at our spring concert. You need not be present to win.
