ALL CALL FOR CHROMEBOOKS, CHARGERS & BOOKS
Have you cleaned out your backpack or shuffled things around on your desk? If you come across your chromebook, charger, textbooks or classroom materials, return ASAP.
For your convenience, the book return is located on the front steps. We ask that you return chromebooks in the office.
If your future plans don't include math classes, consider donating your calculator to Mounds View.
FREE SUMMER MEALS
Thanks to a federal program, free lunch meals for all students 18 years and under are available Monday-Thursday until August 1. Meal needs to be consumed on-site.

Are you in need of food resources this summer? Visit the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf. Use the food maps provided by Ramsey County. Call the Minnesota Food Helpline at 888-711-1151
BUS REGISTRATION
If your child is entering kindergarten through 12th grade next year and will be a bus rider, you should have received an email about busing for the 2024-25 school year. Read the email(s) carefully, as you will receive a personalized email for each student in your family with specific instructions. Detailed instructions for registration are also available at mvpschools.org/transportation. Email transportation@mvpschools.org or call 651-621-6027, if you have questions.
FIRST DAY OF TRY-OUTS / PRACTICE
Fall sports start on Monday (8/12). You can also visit the website for each sport for more information. You MUST be registered before you can participate. To register you must have a current sports physical on file with the Activities Department. Locations and times for each sport are listed below:
- Boys Cross Country: 9:00 AM - Wrestling Gym
- Girls Cross Country: 8:00 AM - Meet at the Shed (Stadium area)
- Fall Performance Team: 3:30-5:30 PM – MAC #3 at MVHS
- Football: 7:00 AM – Auditorium; 8-10 AM + 12-2 PM – Mustang Stadium
- Boys Soccer: 8:30 AM – gr 9 & 10 MVHS Upper Field; 9:30 AM – gr 11 & 12 MVHS Upper Field
- Girls Soccer: 10-12 PM Mustang Stadium
- Girls Swim & Dive: 4-7 PM Swimming at Chippewa MS; 3:45-6:15 PM Diving at Edgewood MS
- Girls Tennis: 8-10 AM + 4:30-7:00 PM - MVHS tennis courts
- Volleyball: 4:30-7:00 PM (gr 9-12); 7:00-7:45 PM (gr 10-12) (setters and outsides) MAC GYM
Physicals are good for three (3) years from the date of the exam, and must be valid for the entire season the athlete will be participating in. A valid physical must be in our system in order to open the online registration form. New physicals require 24 hours to process.
STUDENT PARKING PERMITS
If you want to apply for a 2024-2025 Parking Permit, you must not have any obligations. Check your student email for messages from the library or contact terri.bergstrom@mvpschools.org. Applications for students with obligations will not be processed.

STREET LOCKERS
All locker requests have been updated in Synergy. Before you request, PLEASE check StudentVUE to see if a locker has been assigned to you.
- 12th Graders: If you want a locker, even if you had one last year, you need to request it here. You will NOT get your same locker.
- 11th Graders: If you want a locker, even if you had one last year, you need to request it here. You will NOT get your same locker.
- 10th Graders: You will automatically be assigned a locker. No need to request.
- 9th Graders: You will automatically be assigned a locker. No need to request.
PSAT / NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFYING EXAM
The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is Wednesday (10/9) or Thursday (10/17) at Mounds View High School.
This assessment is also the qualifying exam for juniors hoping to receive a National Merit scholarship or award. Registration is open August 19-September 20. Cost for the exam is $25.00.

We suggest students bring something to write on and write with on the first day of school. Teachers will share specific supplies needed for their classes. Supplies could include composition books, notebooks, 3-ring binders, loose-leaf paper, etc.
AP TEST SCORES
The 2024 Advanced Placement test scores are available. Log in to confirm that you’re able to access your scores when they become available student AP scores website.
SPRING MCA EXAM RESULTS
Student's MCA Exam results are available in ParentVUE under ViewPoint Test History. Results will also be mailed home in October.
SUMMER EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS
Summer EBT (S-EBT) is a new, permanent federally funded grocery benefit program to assist families that qualify for Educational Benefits (free/reduced meals). This benefit extends to families a benefit of $120 each summer. Complete the Educational Benefit form (if you have not qualified for benefits yet) HERE Application for Educational Benefits webpage. The 24-25 form submitted from July 17-August 31 can be used to qualify for S-EBT, providing they were a student with us during the 23-24 school year.
- Families receive a separate card for each eligible student
- Funds reloaded to same card for subsequent years
- Benefit added to S-EBT cards in August/September

HEALTH OFFICE NEWS
Are your student's immunizations up-to-date with a Meningococcal booster? Parents/guardians of students who were enrolled in 11th grade, and in need of immunizations, received a letter with information specific to their student. Submit updated information to the Health Office by Monday (8/19). Use links below for information regarding these requirements, or to document a medical or conscientious exemption:
