Students and Families,

As we near the end of this semester, I wanted to pause and address the approaching Midterms scheduled for December 18-20th, followed by Winter Break until our return on January 6th. It's important to ensure everyone is informed about the schedule and expectations for this critical period.

Buses will operate on the normal schedule during exam week; except on Friday, when there will be two bus runs home: an early run at 12:50 p.m. and a second run at the regular time of 3:20. Lunch will be served on Friday from 12:40 to 1:25 p.m. Students who have arranged to take makeup exams Friday afternoon will be able to eat lunch and take the later bus, if needed.

Where students can go if they cannot leave and don’t have an exam:

Periods 1-8 = Cafeteria

Periods 4, 5 and Lunch = Main Gym

Students are permitted to leave campus during off periods/lunch

Thank you to all who participated in the Cards Care Campaign PTSO fundraiser. The generosity was astounding, and the fundraising goal was achieved. Our PTSO thanks everyone for making the 1st annual Cards Care Campaign a success.

The TWHS Girls Basketball team will be a hosting a Holiday Hoops Camp for girls and boys in grades 2-5 on Saturday, December 14th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Cost of the camp is $35 and includes a free t-shirt and lunch.

Senior Picture Deadline: January 31st

Directions to submit your senior picture:

In order to avoid any mistakes, please follow the directions closely.

• Your photo must be VERTICAL and in COLOR or BLACK AND WHITE

• Only school-related props are allowed in portraits. No animals or pets (sorry!). Make sure your photo follows the TWHS dress code. No “selfie-styles.

• Pictures cannot contain watermarks of photographers.

• Files must be named Last Name_First Name (it must be a *jpeg or .png)
• Submit senior photo by January 31st

To our College Bound Seniors: To improve the lines of communication between you and your School Counselor, please complete the new online Transcript Release Form . If you have already submitted a hard copy to the Counseling Office, there’s no need to fill out the online version.

This form is required for your School Counselor to send your transcript to the colleges you are applying to. Additionally, please remember to "Invite Counselor" via Common App to grant us permission to send the necessary documents.

Our ComTech students produce a weekly edition of student news titled Flock Talk. It is released every Friday for the students and the staff. Here is this week's edition.

Students may not order food from delivery services such as DoorDash. This is against District policy. Please remind your student that they are not allowed to order food to be delivered to the school, and may not leave the building to meet delivery drivers outside. We appreciate your support of our security measures.

Please notify the Attendance Office if you know your student will be absent from school. Call or email ahead to pre-excuse for appointments and ask your student to pick up a pass in the Attendance Office ahead of time – we prefer not to interrupt classes by calling rooms.

Have a student athlete? Please read the athletic eligibility guidelines for BOTH OHSAA and Worthington Schools listed below. These apply for all Athletics and Marching Band along with the performance and competition activities noted on our list of Clubs and Activities.

• Students must be working towards earning 2.5 credits in the preceding grading period in order to be eligible for participation.

• At the conclusion of the quarter and semester, students must be passing 2.5 credits with a 60% or higher.
• PE courses (Strength Training, Yoga, Wellness for Life, and Flex and Tone) do not count towards athletic eligibility.

• College Credit Plus, online courses, and DACC enrollment are all great opportunities but they come with responsibility. Make sure your student still meets the minimum credit requirement.

• If you are enrolled in an online Treca course, you must demonstrate that you are 50% completed with the course, and passing by the end of the 1st or 3rd quarters. You must then complete the course by the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters, which is the end of the fall and spring semester.

There are many opportunities to get involved at TWHS through PTSO. Please join us for a meeting - all 2024-2025 meeting details are provided below!

TWHS PTSO has published a SignUp genius here with all open volunteering needs for the school year. We’re asking for just ONE HOUR of your time. We have events from October through May so you can pick one event (or more) to volunteer for outside of your student’s busiest season.

Ohio Law (ORC 3313.671) requires all 12th grade students receive two (2) doses of the Meningococcal vaccine. The second dose must be received after the student's 16th birthday. Proof of this vaccination is due to the school prior to senior year.
