Digital Learning Day
Tuesday, November 5 is a Digital Learning Day. All students will learn from home, completing assignments at their own pace. Students should plan ahead to ensure they have their district-issued devices at home for planned DLDs. Learn more about Digital Learning Days in GCPS.
To ensure that students have a nutritious meal to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by School Nutrition Program staff. Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families, and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.

A Note from Mrs. Lovejoy in the Media Center
Jumpstart's Read for the Record is the world's largest shared reading experience to celebrate children's early language and social-emotional development. Each year, Read for the Record brings together millions of adults and children as they read the same book on the same day, building an intergenerational community through reading. Held this year on October 24, 2024, over 24 million people have participated in Read for the Record to date, and hundreds and thousands of high-quality books have been distributed to children in underserved communities across the United States over the past 18 years.
Taylor Elementary has participated in this for many years and this year is no exception! Please click the video link below to share the story together as a family:
