Students Support Leader Dogs for the Blind
Charity Week at Lake Orion High School is a long-standing tradition, organized and run by the Leadership class, with the goal of raising money for a chosen charity - this year "Leader Dogs for the Blind". Each year, the school community comes together in an exciting and meaningful way, participating in a variety of creative and engaging events to support an important cause. Throughout the week, students and staff take part in numerous activities designed to encourage participation and fundraising.
Chipotle Fundraiser
Don't forget, you can support our Charity Week by going to the Chipotle on Baldwin for our Dine to Donate on Tuesday, March 11 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) Information
World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) testing for all Multilingual Learner (MLL) students will take place from January 27 through April 4. This assessment helps us understand and support your child’s language development and academic progress. If you are a parent or guardian of an MLL student, please check the newsletter sent prior for more details. Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education!

March has many volunteer opportunities! Please have your student check their x2VOL account for all details and sign up for a spring event in our community. Don’t forget to log into x2VOL after serving and submit the hours in the online portal!

Student Clubs and Extracurriculars
Guided After School (GAP) program that offers various clubs for our students at Lake Orion High School. Each club is led by our outstanding staff at LOHS. All After School clubs will abide by Lake Orion High School rules and current policies.
How to Sign up for GAP
- Fill out the GAP form and pay the GAP fee in order to participate in all GAP clubs.
- Students are eligible for all clubs after they pay for one. THIS IS ONLY FOR GAP CLUBS
- Register for GAP clubs with Mr. Kimball or online with the links below

LOHS Pick Up and Drop Off Procedures
- LOHS drop off and pick up entrance for students is from Scripps Road only.
- The arrows indicate the direction of flow during student drop off and pick up.
- Green Arrows indicate drop off/pick up zone. Please pull forward as far as you can before having your student exit/enter the vehicle.
- DO NOT pull up to the main building.
- DO NOT use the Staff Lot or Bus Loop for picking up or dropping off students.
Distinguished Dragon Award
Thank you for taking the time to recognize one of Lake Orion Community Schools' staff members for their excellence.
The intent of the Distinguished Dragon program is to ensure that staff members who go above and beyond their regular duties are appreciated. The additional effort or support can range from helping an individual to helping a group or any effort that seems worthy of praise.
The staff member can be nominated by a student, parent, community member or even their own colleague. We ask for the submitter's name and contact information to follow up with specific questions if necessary.
Please complete the form entirely so the individual can be appropriately honored for their contributions.
