#Printing Press: Mrs. Dallow's art classes are currently working on their printmaking designs. Look for finished pieces to adorn the hallways soon!! These are multi-step projects and students are experimenting with space, color and texture. See pics here.
#In the news: Mr. Golden's new Broadcasting class presents Rye Neck News-- Episode 2. It aired on Halloween during homeroom and received rave reviews! A huge thank you to all our new Broadcasters--Christina Pirrone, Ali Perez, Sasha Jaramillo, Isabella Hauser, Terence Du, Lyvya Guity and Sam Silva--and to Mr. Golden. See video here.
#It's in Your Mind: Did you know all Skittles have the same flavor? The color and smell create the taste because of sensory integration in our brains. Students in AP Psychology tested this idea by closing their eyes and holding their noses while trying to guess the color of the Skittles. See pics here.
Beyond These Walls . . .
- Women in Science: The Science Communication Coalition (SCC), formed by four seniors, gives students the opportunity to publish their work. Applications are open to any and all high school students. All of our publications are completely free to read and view, and everyone is welcome to submit work. We publish a range of work--from articles to artwork to stories--as long as they fall under the large umbrella of science, technology, engineering, or math. See details here.
- Community Service: The Village of Mamaroneck is having a tree pruning workshop. They will give community service hours to High School students. Click here for details.

Key Club is excited to announce two important collection drives happening in late October and early November! Boxes will be set up in the main office and E18.
- First, we’ll be participating in the Lions Eye Glass Recycling initiative. We are collecting gently used eyeglasses to support families in need, as millions in low and middle-income communities lack access to basic eye care. Your donations can truly make a difference!
- Additionally, Key Club will be collecting toys for orphans in Ukraine. Please bring in new, unwrapped toys to help bring joy to these children. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will make a meaningful impact.
- Fundraiser: The Class of 2026 will be doing a fundraiser at Chopt in November. See details here.
